I've literally been talking about BA's disgruntled, unhappiness for the last 3 years.
I found an old gif I clipped a few years back of BA not giving a crap that Kittle scored a touchdown. He was pissed because the ball didn't go to him. There was one from this season that stuck in my mind where all his teammates are celebrating a TD together while BA walks off on his own pouting and disgruntled because he wasn't the one to score. This was the first season(2022) I realized BA had some selfish, b***hassness in him. Sadly, I used to have more of these gifs, but lost them over time.
I can attest. I remember you calling it out multiple times.

TBF, Jimmy should have thrown him the ball on this play. If only he had, maybe Aiyuk would still want to be here.

That's besides the point.
There have been so many red flags around BA that anyone pretending that they weren't there only has themselves to blame for ignoring them ie being in Shanny's doghouse; acting like a little b***h on the field throughout the 2022 season; Fred fighting with him multiple times in practice(only teammate all-world leader Fred has ever fought); the myriad of cryptic social media posts attacking the organization; the comments after the SB; his GF/brother posting about going to Las Vegas(LOL); BA wanting to go to the Commanders; says he's a Lambo and doesn't give a f**k about the cap ramifications or the quality of team that can be fielded afterwards as long as he gets paid. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

I never saw Aiyuk as being an elite receiver. He was good but not great. In 5 seasons he never had more than 78 receptions. His best season he had 1300 yards which is very good but not great. For comparison look at Njigba. He has 1300 yards and 80 catches already after 11 games. That's a true #1.
I don't know if he'll ever play for the Niners again or if his career will be the same after the injury. Whatever happens he doesn't have to worry about money the rest of his life.
JSN is currently on pace to have the most receiving yards ever in a single season. It's not realistic to say that a receiver has to match that production to be a true #1.
I didn't say he had to match that. I just listed Njigba as one that is a #1. Thereare about 12 guys on pace to go over 1000 yards and 5 or 6 that can top 1500. Aiyuk had one 1300 yard season and one 1000 yard season in 5 years. He may have been the Niners #1 but there are severasl re3ceivers around the league that are better. True #1 elite types.

JSN has 2 more targets after 11 games than Aiyuk had the whole season in 2023. That's not a player difference, that's an offense difference.
Aiyuk was 100% a true #1 WR and if he gets back to full strength any team who force feeds him will see it.
That's true. I think skill level also dictates where the ball goes. Look at how many touches McCaffrey gets.
Exactly. He may have more targets because he's always open. Just like Nacua. Speaking of CMC I would like to see what he could do as a full time slot receiver. Ity may eventually be a way to lengthen his career.

To be fair, Shanahan runs the ball a higher percentage of times than a lot of other teams. That impacts WR numbers but a team-first guy should not be complaining as long as the team is winning. Of course, that has been the very thing BA has complained about - being on a run-first team hurts his numbers.
Richard knew it was coming and still doesn't understand why BA acting like a b***h
Sherman talking truth - BA not playing at all the rest of the way helps no one. He could help the 49ers win, and if he does, it will make him more valuable in the future than he is now.

Also to be fair what I consider a top receiver might be different than someone else's. I know I get tired of hearing broadcasters calling players elite or franchise just because they're starting. In my mind you have to be really outstanding to be labeled elite or franchise. I also get tired of hearing them go crazy every time a receiver makes a one handed catch as if it's something unusual. Maybe it was before they started wearing flypaper gloves but it's common now. It's just the world we live in now where everything has to be unbelivably, incredibley fantastic.

I won't speak for all Africans, because it is a HUGE continent..a huge amount of people all around the world and everything that comes with that. But I will say many of us are stubbornly independent. If someone is disrespecting us, we would rather not take their money even if it could cost us money or an opportunity...mainly because we believe in ourselves, believe we will be able to succeed elsewhere. Similar thing happened in MMA with Francis Ngannou. Folks were so confused why he would pass up money from the UFC. I know Brandon was raised in the States, like I was, but I totally get him. He would rather not take the chance of getting hurt on our team (just to prove himself for the next team, which he also feels he doesn't need to do). He will prove it in work outs for said teams this offseason, with years of footage of what he can do. He will get signed and will get paid.
I know many hate Brandon right now, but yall should watch this interview again. He touches on what Football means to him... how he views it. How he views how other players should be on the field. How he views himself. Doesn't come off as a WR Diva we have seen in the past (like say Meshawn Johnson) He says money (1st round selection) fell on his lap because of his hard work...but it does not defy him first and foremost. The amount of money does show what the team thinks of him and how much he would be used on offense, yes that is important to him. He touched on the Super Bowl. Talks about we had done well when we target him a certain amount of times, but we didn't do that in the Super Bowl...even though, as others pointed out, he was getting open. And that was confusing and frustrating. For someone who was getting amped up for 2 weeks, and your team loses and you weren't allowed to do more to change that.
There's a bunch more stuff in there, that relates to our team's current situation...pay attention to what Brandon is saying and not saying. Ignore when the hosts talk over him.

It's a player and offense difference. JSN practically IS the Seattle passing game, so he's gonna garner far more attention from the opposing defenses, whereas one can make the argument that BA's 2023 season that he was the beneficiary of that offense, given that it was a CMC/run oriented, along with Kittle and Deebo taking attention away from him. You can't just extrapolate numbers, because every defense would play Aiyuk differently if he was getting far more targets.
Aiyuk may have been a #1.....but he wasn't in the Jefferson/Chase class, and now maybe we can include JSN in that group. He was solid top 20 at his position, but who knows what he is going forward.

He wasn't top 3 but he was top 5-7 in 2023, More important than his position was the chemistry he had built with Purdy. That helped both of them and the team. We saw what happened last season when that chemistry wasn't there. It wasn't just the numbers. It was what the number represented.

Great story and all but those pesky facts gonna get in the way once again. Baby Brandon had multiple contracts on the table that would've paid him more than the niners offer. But baby brandon refused those contracts cause it wasn't going to benefit him in his eyes. It's always been about baby and always will be about baby.
