Great player for sure.
I would say he hated being here, but hate is a strong word. Certainly, he wasn't happy being a 49er.
I think he wasn't happy, but since the 49ers were still winning he didn't let his real feelings out. After last season and then how the injuries have piled up this year he let his true self out.
Richard knew it was coming and still doesn't understand why BA acting like a b***h
Sherman talking truth - BA not playing at all the rest of the way helps no one. He could help the 49ers win, and if he does, it will make him more valuable in the future than he is now.
I won't speak for all Africans, because it is a HUGE continent..a huge amount of people all around the world and everything that comes with that. But I will say many of us are stubbornly independent. If someone is disrespecting us, we would rather not take their money even if it could cost us money or an opportunity...mainly because we believe in ourselves, believe we will be able to succeed elsewhere. Similar thing happened in MMA with Francis Ngannou. Folks were so confused why he would pass up money from the UFC. I know Brandon was raised in the States, like I was, but I totally get him. He would rather not take the chance of getting hurt on our team (just to prove himself for the next team, which he also feels he doesn't need to do). He will prove it in work outs for said teams this offseason, with years of footage of what he can do. He will get signed and will get paid.
I know many hate Brandon right now, but yall should watch this interview again. He touches on what Football means to him... how he views it. How he views how other players should be on the field. How he views himself. Doesn't come off as a WR Diva we have seen in the past (like say Meshawn Johnson) He says money (1st round selection) fell on his lap because of his hard work...but it does not defy him first and foremost. The amount of money does show what the team thinks of him and how much he would be used on offense, yes that is important to him. He touched on the Super Bowl. Talks about we had done well when we target him a certain amount of times, but we didn't do that in the Super Bowl...even though, as others pointed out, he was getting open. And that was confusing and frustrating. For someone who was getting amped up for 2 weeks, and your team loses and you weren't allowed to do more to change that.
There's a bunch more stuff in there, that relates to our team's current situation...pay attention to what Brandon is saying and not saying. Ignore when the hosts talk over him.
Didn't know being stubborn when your disrespected is connected to race. Today I grew. Now can you stop trying to make this a race thing and maybe just see that BA is being a b***h

I don't hate Aiyuk, just his choices.
The truth is, he and Samuel both had attitude issues that showed up at times. Both demanded the ball. When a player does a lot for you, you don't care that much.
When they hurt the team though and/or don't wanna be there anymore, then it's a problem. It's why Samuel was sent to Washington, Metcalf was shipped to Pittsburgh. Owens was sent to Philly, Randy to Oakland & Tennessee, Pickens to Dallas, Antonio Brown to the Raiders (remember that?).. Etc
Aiyuk had his chance to get out and chose to sign a new deal instead. He didn't have to do that. And then he changed his mind again and decides now he wants out after all... And after admitting last year he made things harder than they needed to be.
He screwed both himself and us and is doing it all over again now apparently. I don't know if someone's advising him but maybe he should listen to someone else.

Great story and all but those pesky facts gonna get in the way once again. Baby Brandon had multiple contracts on the table that would've paid him more than the niners offer. But baby brandon refused those contracts cause it wasn't going to benefit him in his eyes. It's always been about baby and always will be about baby.
I don't care what he says in a scripted interview, his recent actions showed who he truly is. He's a mercenary diva, like Deebo before him. As others have alluded, he was never really about the team and his teammates, and he has left us clues about this over the years. But, of course we turned a blind eye to these things since the team was winning.
Also, there is something truly wrong with you mentally to go sign a contract with a team and then almost immediately try and sabotage things to get your guaranteed money taken away and voided in order to get released, especially after a big career altering injury. This is truly unprecedented. If you truly hated it here, why not take the trade offers that were presented, get paid, and get that fresh start somewhere else?
I can't wait to hear more details about this saga once he does get released this offseason.

WHAT IN THEEEE f**k ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?
Don't let me add you to the other idiots on my ignore lists. Jesus. What a waste of time. And to simplify this whole situation as BA is being a b***h, is the easy way out.
"BA is b***h! Trade him for peanuts! We don't need him! Bla bla bla."
Something happened between our team and an All Pro player. Similar to something happened with our team and T.O.....and we f**ked up that situation. He continued to have a HOF career after he left. Should have won a Super Bowl if McNabb took it more serious.
Aiyuk is leaving. He will do great where he goes. The front office needs to be honest with themselves where it went all bad.. and what ever control decisions they made that started the situation, was it worth it.
This is about the future. We also disrespected Dre Greenlaw to the point he didn't even want to entertain our higher offer after we told him to go searching. I know some say he would have never stayed with Warner here, no I don't believe it. The 9er FO called his bluff, and got burnt.
Crazy to see how fans here have turned on BA. Dude has always showed up and played his ass off. He did the dirty work and never complained and he has saved games for us many times.
Whatever brought him to this place with the team, none of us really know. I don't agree with some of the things he's done but to act like he's some kind of Antonio Brown or something just isn't true.

He's not Antonio Brown, but as he said himself, he's made things harder than they needed to be. It's a bummer that things have soured between him and the team to this extent. Getting the contract last year should have been the end of the drama on both sides.

What the heck are you talking about a scripted interview? lol. If you haven't watched it...watch it later tonight.
His play on the field is all about team, he has shown it. The things he is asked to do and do at a high level.
I don't feel he was trying to sabotage his contract. This is just me speaking out of my ass, but a hunch. More so something ticky tacky happened (that maybe something similar to what his teammates have violated in the past), but this time the 9ers used it as an opportunity to get some money back or leverage on a player coming back from serious injury. Brandon probably thought that wasn't fair/consistent, while although legally legit. And probably was like fine I can play games too. ✌🏾

He also said he felt he had to because of what the team did. They leaked legit contract #s first. So he started playing the media negotiation game too.
I'm telling yall, watch that interview later tonight or tomorrow. I'm not saying this so you have a better view of Aiyuk or take his side... but to get a better idea of how we possibly got here. How his mind works, or what happened and how he chose to respond.

I mean the fans didn't just wake up one day and decide to turn on him; it came to that from the way this clown acted and has acted since the moment the SB was over. This s**t is unprecedented; when was the last time you heard of a contract getting voided? And the player NOT fighting it; which we all know indicates that Aiyuk did (or did not) do something(s) that warranted it.
Hopefully it's a lesson learned for our regime; when a player requests to be traded and/or doesn't want to be here, why the hell should they or we as fans want them to be? Grant them their wish and send them packing.

Agreed.
Yeah you're both right, we don't know. I don't think I've ever heard him say anything derogatory against the team, or ShanyLynch.
Now his girlfriend, maybe she's the cause. "Women are the root of all evil". lol

A "Diva" that laid his body on the line more than he should, play after play. Yeah,...sure.
