Can we take off the layered throw between the safeties and linebackers in the middle off the playbook? Seems like whenever brock attempts to throw there it's getting intercepted half the time. It used to be a strength of his in 2023 now it's a weakness.

I think with Purdy you have to live with the dumb throws. I dunno, he just does it at least once or twice every game no matter what. I feel like he does it more now as time goes on than he did as a rookie and in '23. Besides the ones that were picked there were the passes to JJ and CMC which were pretty unadvisavle too but luckily caught. Its just what it is with him and its probably not going anywhere.

To me, I wanna see him get better in the 4th quarter of close games. That's where I wanna see improvement and not throwing stupid passes in those critical situations.

Thank you. Didn't want to be the one to bring up these passes but trust me. Was on my mind. Especially the hospital ball to CMC.

This one?

I believe there was a point yesterday where we were up 9pts. (19-10?)... and in FG range. A FG makes it a 12 pt game... so a TD + two pt conversion) + FG wouldn't be enough. They would need two TDs or TD with two FGs.

He almost turned the ball over.

Here is my reaction when it happened, along with everyone else in real time.

Again we got past the Cards. Just have to hope, again, that he learns from it. I just don't like to BS myself with what I see. I see the good, I see the potential, but I also see the obvious (which is the bad).

Without clicking the link I bet it was very grounded and reasonable.

I'd say so, for the immediate emotional reaction after seeing it live and responding right after.

BROCK WE ARE IN f**kING FG RANGE!!!! UP 9 PTS.

He has a good game and yall want to show this? lol

He did his part.. did his old quick pass for a big play... then another pass he took to the house. Also catching passes behind his body and still getting positive yards. With with Marcus F'n Mariotta lol.

but this game also showed he hasn't learned s**t with his time off watching from the sidelines. Still careless with the ball when it's not necessary. Luckily it worked out this game because the Cards were totally fine do themselves in.

I'm hoping this game was just him knocking off some rust. There was one shot of Kyle talking to Brock when he was sitting on the bench, and Brock had a look of "yeah I know I shouldn't be doing that". So we'll see if that is the case, because if he starts getting it all together...we will be set, and finally the running game might open up as well...and we'll be even more deadly. Like old times.

Hard disagree there. I think this game showed he 100% has learned to adjust his game from watching Mac. He's not going to stop being Brock completely but I believe all the questionable throws were at least on key downs and he wasn't forcing anything on early downs. He didn't even try to make anything of the busted play understanding the score and situation and just went down. Brock from week 1 would've tried to make a play of that 100%.

There is a line to playing QB so safe that you cut down on the potential of your offense and being too aggressive and turnover prone. I don't want Brock losing all of his aggressiveness but he's got to save it for the right situations. Give your guys a chance sometimes. Other times just get rid of it.

I think this game was 100% a step in the right direction…but I also got a vibe like he's a tad hesitant to run the ball cuz that toe is still on his mind.

The Raiders should not be allowed on any national broadcast until they can turn in a halfway decent season. This team has quit on Petey.

These days the first week or two (or three) of the season is where good teams seem to have a higher chance of being beaten by bad teams.

That and the off script playmaking is the difference.

Watching Goff against the Eagles last night reinforced the idea that you just aren't gonna win a title with guys who need the scheme to do all the work. Gonna need that off script magic and aggressiveness.
