I cannot see Goodwin being cut. To me the obvious choices are Matthews and definitely Bourne. Based on production and projection, what is the best that you think you are getting out of Bourne? We likely have already seen the best of Matthews. If he isn't one of the top 3 receivers, he's gone. Would be nice if by some miracle we can move these guys for draft picks, even if they are only 6th or 7th round picks. Are there any teams right now who look like the 2015/2016 49ers at receiver?

True. We wont cut him for 3rd round pick.
TE: George Kittle; Kaden Smith
XWR: Dante Pettis; Marquise Goodwin
SWR: Trent Taylor; Jordan Matthews
ZWR: Deebo Samuel; Jalen Hurd

Huh? Why in the hell would we take a guy in the 3rd round and then take a chance that another team snatches him for free?
I predict we go back to WR again next year for a true speed guy (to replace Goodwin).
The biggest competition will be who holds a spot between Goodwin, Taylor, James, Matthews and Bourne.

Pettis, Samuel, and Hurd are locks obviously. Training camp will sort out who takes the final 3 spots, but I'm guessing Taylor and James are probably safe if they have good camps, so Goodwin, Matthews and Bourne are fighting for 1 roster spot.

The final 6:

X: Pettis/Goodwin
Z: Hurd*/Matthews*
Y: Samuel*/James

I think your on the right track. I think it goes down like this.

No way, he's going to be our RZ target. He'll be Shanny's offensive pet.

Agreed. But I'd rather we keep Goodwin. Would love to have two sub 4.4 guys.

On another note, why are so many people overlooking Richie James? Unless he is being counted as a ST guy.

Next years draft has some studs coming out. 2-3 guys top of first round. Would be nice to go get one.
I wonder the percentage of throws that go to RBs or TEs next year.
I think that they forgot that there is only 1 qb on the field at a time. Shanny is gonna play with just the center and come out like
6 wide on every play.

Just what this team needed. 11 WR's when we have holes at S, CB, OL which still need to be filled. What are we going to do with all these WR's? You can't even keep this many on the roster. This team is so crazy.
