You're 100% correct, Jimmy G with a bum knee at home with a porn star and pain medication is about the same as Beathard on the field.
Look at our 2nd string QB and the Eagles 2nd string QB. That answers your question. The Eagles lost their starting QB and went to the Super Bowl and won it. Other teams have high end back up plans. We don't. We have a bad front office. Also as has been stated giving the highest paid contract of all time to a backup who in the past had proven himself to be injured and not really proven over enough games was a mistake. He is injured for the season for us now too. Also IMO he regressed somewhat this year when the NFL started to figure him out more on the tape. I'm unsure how good Jimmy is. But there is no doubt he is better than what we had for years in a row. So we took a chance but probably massively over paid. It may not work out in the end. We will see.

id say jimmy is borderline top 10 in the league. tbh 99% of teams wouldn't have a foles to lead them to a chip, if they did that guy would be traded/signing a big deal to start somewhere else.
Jimmy G is way better than CJ.
Unbelievable. 😂
Beathard turned the ball over four times at home against the winless Cardinals.

I like Beathard but come on. This isn't even a discussion.

No worries I agree. I think when Jimmy gets one more weapon or a better line he will be lights out. But in my opinion he is top 10 without much help imagine when he actually gets receivers or time to throw we will all be very happy campers

I'm getting pretty tired of hearing how the Eagles won the Super Bowl with a backup QB, and how THAT means we should have a backup QB that can come in and win us a Super Bowl, too. Otherwise the front office is a failure.

I hate to break it to you, but Super Bowl runs like what the Eagles had are once-in-a-blue-moon. The last time that happened was the 2001 Patriots. A backup coming in and setting the league on fire is not something you should be expecting. People keep saying "Kyle traded up for this guy. We should win with him." He was still picked outside of the top 100. You pick QB's you can win in the next 3-5 years with in the 1st round, not the rear end of the 3rd round.

This is getting straight up ridiculous. Everyone can have their own opinion but I don't see how Jimmy is not a top 10 quarterback. Yes he did not do as good this year as last however he was playing the number one defense in Minnesota with injuries up the ass. At Minn!

How do people not see this? He took sacks because he did not want to throw interceptions and NOBODY was open the next game or two. It can be argued that he has the quickest release in football even quicker than Aaron Rodgers. So do you really think that if somebody was open he would not throw it? Please

But guess what a lot of other quarterbacks would do much worse even the great ones with our line and our lack of weapons. So when people are judging him I wish they would consider that.

I swear there is no context with some of you people. Aaron Rogers looks like garbage against Detroit 24 to 0 he couldn't hit s**t and he was missing Throws and getting shut out until late in the game. Against Detroit defense? Well I guess he is not as good as he used to be right? No his receivers are injured and that's a big reason. Dam. Can't people just admit this

Garappolo - Starting NFL quarterback with the potential to be an elite QB one day.
Beathard - Backup NFL quarterback with the potential to be a starter one day.

That's the way I look at it. Don't get me wrong, I like Beathard. The second he learns better pocket awareness and is more careful with the ball, I might start calling him a starting NFL QB, but until that day, he's a serviceable backup who can help us to win some games. However, at this point, he's not really able to put the team on his back and carry them to a win. He is, however, able to cost us games, like he did at Arizona. What I loved is how efficiently he moved the ball and constantly picked up third downs, but he alone cost us the game with his four turnovers.
