Yah I'm listening to it. I would do it for the 17th pick.
Good QB's are hard to come by. I say take him. With our defense, and a good QB, we would be able to WIN some playoff games; not just make the playoffs.

The Niners have to. Just think if the Niners would have picked up Drew Brees? The Niners would be a completely different team. Just like if they pick up McNabb - The Niners would be a completely different team.

Hope they (9ers) truly consider this trade.

If that deal is there they better pull the trigger. Its a no brainer.

But then again we have McClueless calling the shots. Eek
Donovan McNabb:

"McNabb has led the Eagles to four consecutive NFC East division championships (2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004), five NFC Championship Games (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2008), and one Super Bowl (Super Bowl XXXIX)." -Wiki

Why wouldn't you want this guy leading your team? 5 ProBowls? I don't buy into everyone's rants about him being a "choke artist". The guy has taken some non-all star teams with no-name players to the playoffs on more than one occasion! Philadelphia fans are idiots!

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Look at the last 10 years of #16/17 picks, and tell me (besides Hutch, and maybe DRC...and even those guys aren't as impactful as a playoff-tested and still highly productive QB) who you would rather have as opposed McNabb?

2009 - Larry English(16), Robert Ayers(17)
2008 - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie(16), Gosder Cherilus(17)
2007 - Justin Harrell(16), Jarvis Moss(17)
2006 - Chad Greenway(16), Bobby Carpenter(17)
2005 - Derrick Johnson(16), Travis Johnson(17)
2004 - D.J. Williams(16), Will Smith(17)
2003 - Bryant Johnson(16), Calvin Pace(17)
2002 - William Greene(16), Phillip Buchanon(17)
2001 - Santana Moss(16), Steve Hutchinson(17)
2000 - Julian Peterson(16), Sebastian Janikowski(17)

The chances of that 2nd pick turning into someone impactful are pretty slim. It's a crapshoot, but taking a proven NFL starter like McNabb would give us a shot to win the division and do some damage in the playoffs, while serving as a mentor to Davis.

To me, it's a no-brainer.

NO!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Obviously he's an upgrade but I'm not sure he's THAT good. He's pretty inaccurate on everything except a deep ball.

He would probably get us to the playoffs easily, though.
id do it for sure. we have 2 1st Rnd picks. definitly worth it. if we had a pro bowl qb like him, we could definitly make a run in the play offs.
Dunno---Eagles always had solid lineman (both sides of the ball)...that was their motto...build the fatties up = team success.
How does he fit our offense? Didn't people say that one of the reasons Farve didn't do so well with the Jets because it was a new offense to him? That he performed better with the Vikes because it was West Coast Offense? Something Farve is fimilar with.
Mcnabb has always played with superior talent & still has failed to deliver a Super Bowl victory.

For that reason I say pass, philly wouldn't be shopping him if they felt confident he could win in the playoffs.

Favre wasn't as successful in New York mostly because he didn't have nearly the weapons he had in MIN. I'm sure the new terminology in NY was tricky, but if he had legit playmakers there, it wouldn't have been as rocky.
No.. McNabb has played his entire career for Reid running the WCO.. He would have to come in a learn a whole new offense.
