Fitz and Brooks are talking about McNabb...

If we get McNabb, who's to say we'll keep Raye as OC? McNabb has a few good years left in him, so it would make sense to bring in an OC to install a WCO and build it to fit the talents of McNabb, Gore, Davis, Crabtree, Morgan, Walker, etc.

So now we should bring in McChoke and rebuild everything around him....

I have a better idea, Say no to McChoke!

Let's see, McChoke led the Eagles to four consecutive NFC East division championships (2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004), five NFC Championship Games (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2008), and one Super Bowl, but you'd rather have Alex Smith as our starter, because he's led our team to....uh....uh....er....um.....

Why oh why would we get a choke qb? He never does well in big games. We want a winner, not a proven choke artist who is past his prime. This is something the Raiders would pull.

I'm sorry - but not wanting a potential Hall of Famer with 2-3 years left in him - is crazy.
McNabb's run the WCO his entire career and he's 34 with serious injuries in his past. We are going to change our offense once again? I say no. Continuity. Improve the line. Pick up a speed back. Grow with the in-house QBs, Smith and Davis. Use the top three picks on OL and scat back/returner. Playoffs.

It's called an UPGRADE.

Whatever you think of McNabb, he is CLEARLY an upgrade over what we have at QB right now. And if it only costs us a mid-1st rounder, it's simply a no-brainer.

Flat out "No-Brainer"

In that case we better pull the trigger tomorrow. We lost Norv on 2/19 and didn't have much luck when asking permission to interview possible replacements.
Nah, I'll pass and keep Smith at QB. Improve the o-line and we'll be a lot better goddamit !

Ya and he Choked just about every damn time with all pro talent all around him...

But according to Pro Football guys like you, we should just drop the entire O again and start over with a QB who had every opportunity in the world to win the SB but he Choked every time he was in the big game!

Do u know why Montana is Considered the best QB of all time? Its not because he has 4 SB rings. Its because he was at his best in the biggest moments.

Srry but i dont want to trade one of our 2 first round picks in one of the DEEPEST TALENT drafts in the last 10 years for a QB that has been in the WCO his entire career and Chokes in the biggest moments!

So yea...

Like i said, SAY NO TO McChoke!

If we did trade for McNabb, and then s**tcanned Jimmy Raye and changed our entire offensive system (going back to the WCO), by the time everyone on the offense got on the same page and really had time to jell (which you have to admit, would take more than one season), McNabb would be ready to retire.

Nothing against McNabb, but I would pass.

He's spent the last eleven seasons under one coach and in one system. Now he's supposed to just waltz in here and pick-up a new offensive langauge and it's all supposed to work out just fine?

most....uninspirational....picture....ever....

Do you think the Niners should consider the trade - for their #2 and #3 Pick?

But, but, but he is such a nice guy.

Mcnabb has always played with superior talent & still has failed to deliver a Super Bowl victory.

For that reason I say pass, philly wouldn't be shopping him if they felt confident he could win in the playoffs.

Nobody is saying he will absolutely win us a Super Bowl...that's not realistic. It's about getting this team to the next level, making the playoffs and at least having a SHOT at winning it all.

Right now, we have ZERO shot with our current QB situation. McNabb gives us a shot, and that's all teams on the rise can ask for.

He had the most explosive offense in league under his control last season & was defeated in the 1st round of the playoffs. Not to mention the eagles surrendered the NFC east title by choking down the stretch. He's not going to do any better for us.. you can bet on that.
