If Jenkins never saw the NFL field you wouldn't call him a bust? Season started....Niners have played 15 games. Jenkins is BEHIND the curve at this point, it is his job to prove himself to the coaches, team mates and fans. Prove that he was indeed worth a late 2nd Round pick or any pick at this point. Unless drafting guys outta college to be practice dummies is the NFL norm now.

anyone who is against a T.O. signing is more against it on a personal level. If you have watched him play his last year in Cinncy you'd know he still has it.
and even in the his only playing time with the Seahawks in preseason showed the ability to get open deep and run routes over the middle. With a combination of Flynn misfiring on his passes, and T.O. himself dropping some passes. (which should get improved on, the worry most had with him was his legs). And of course Braylon Edwards making the best of his own opportunities and being with the team longer, made T.O. expendable.
TJ Houseamilli is slow...he looked horrible his last year in this league...besides maybe Antonio Bryant, I can't think of a WR out there that has been productive their last few seasons in this league like T.O.
edit- don't get me wrong I think AJ can step in and help out....but would not also be against the idea of bringing in T.O. IF the team was interested in a free agent WR.
He played for Cincinnati 2 years ago. Way to be correct...

TO, R.Williams, M.Williams, etc just isn't an option right now. If any of those guys had anything left, a WR needy team such as the Jets, Browns, or Jaguars would of sign 1 of them by now.
Whether he's ready to play now or not, we need to give Jenkins a handful of reps or more against AZ. He really can't be that stupid to not know the playbook by now as some ppl suggested.
None of those guys have won a ring. That is incentive enough to come in, shut up and take whatever you can get

Get what you're saying, but these guys, even TO, is prob far from being in NFL shape. I really think even a rook like Jenkins who has barley played offers more then any of these Vet WR's on the street.

Agreed. Hopefully the Packers slip up Sunday because we can win 1 Road game with this shady WR group

He caught the ball in the flat, he was the 2nd read, his feet were on the ground, he was not fast enough out of his break, he was wrapped up high and being held up, a 230lb linebacker came up and dived at his his knees while he was stood-up in the grasp, we see the result. Anything else you don't understand about the play? When QB hang a receiver out to dry; you see them stretched out fully, jumping up fully elongatated, things like that, like Smith use to do regularly. Kapish?

Paging Brett Swain... Brett Swain, you are needed for another Niner playoff run...
Seriously though, this is horrible news for Mario. I hope he gets better soon.

Are you pulling our leg or is this for real? If not, then when/where did Harbaugh say this? If true, iIt's a ringing vote of no-confidence in VD.
Funny thing is..he did look better as a traditional tight-end He made plays in the flat with YAC and plays fast in short bursts, like a TE i supposed to. I would like to see Celek and VD on the field together instead of DWalker and VD..

I guy jumped and landed on his lower leg at a horrific angle. Doesn't matter who you are, you knee is gonna blow out.
It looked bad for sure. Kaeps indecision on that throw was about as bad as i have ever seen. He doesnt delay on that thro and its probally a decent positive gain.
No prob, if it was Smith, because Manningham was too far out of the flat for a check down, so he would have never got the ball in the first place..

Time to call T.O if were not going to suit AJ
I mean - what exactly is it that is keeping AJ from playing? Can he not catch? Doesn't know the playbook? I just don't understand why he can't break the rotation.
waste of pick
Chill, I bet we see him this Sunday, have to, no one else left practically .Is LaMike a waste? But we had to wait for players injured in front of him till he came in, same here with Jenkins, I think.
