The 49ers have been a part of my life for years. I enjoy following the constant evolution of the team, whether it be through good or bad years. This site was created as a tribute to the team, but turned into a source of info for fans everywhere. I don't know why I do it, but I hope to continue for as long as I can. I hope everyone that visits feels as though a little bit of the site is his or her own.

This site was born in 1997 and I am amazed at its continued growth. A tribute to the staff and the fans.

I work at an internet company as a webmaster for 20+ sites, so being a webmaster is second nature. It's great feeding Niner fans their daily dose of Niner news. The goal of this site is to deliver the news from around the web so you don't have to go looking for it. We strive to deliver all the news and let you, the fans, decide what is important enough for you.

Who's Who Among American High School Students, Graduate Student from Saint Mary's College of California (GO GAELS), member of the Few and the Proud, the Marines. All of these personalities have shaped the man I am today, but I regret nothing because of the many experiences I have endured. I am a cornucopia of many traits, which made me the well rounded person I am today. These traits include intelligence, perseverance, physical wellness, writing excellence, and the ability to excel at whatever I decide to partake in.

My versatility as a writer, whether I'm painting a scene from my upcoming M.F.A. thesis or writing an A.P. Style article for the NFL, is an asset to my many abilities.

As a former United States Marine, I believe that you will find that I exhibit a hard work ethic, initiative, maturity, stability, organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under extreme pressure and that I am eager to make a positive contribution as an NFL Correspondent.

First, a confession: I'm a lawyer. Wait, don't go! Yes, I'm a lawyer BY DAY, but by night I obsess about all things 49ers, as I have since the autumn of 1981, when Joe Montana stole my nine-year-old heart.

This is my first crack at actual sportswriting, but if my articles are anything like what I recite to myself while I'm alone in my car or mowing my lawn, they should be insightful, provocative, and fun.

Welcome to my obsessive mind. Please enjoy your stay, but please clean up after yourselves as you leave.

The 49ers have been my life since the age of seven. If a friend or family member of mine were asked, what is the one thing I couldn't do without in my life, it would be the 49ers. My family has had season tickets to the 49ers since 1981, a good year to get started. Since the age of seven I have been the football encyclopedia of Section 15, more than ready to chime in my two cents and show off my knowledge, or defend attacks on my beloved Joe. Football has been and always will be the number one love of my life.

I am currently a Financial Analyst at VISA and a freelance writer in the Bay Area. I have worked for ESPN.com, the Associated Press, the San Jose Mercury News and the ANG Newspaper Group. My portfolio can be found at http://www.kingofthediamond.com/mattfaust/portfolio.html .

It is a tremendous privilege to be able to write about the 49ers and have the fan base read my work and I am very thankful for the opportunity given to me by 49erswebzone.

My name is Oscar Aparicio, I am 25 years old and I have been a staff writer since December of 2002. I have been a 49er fan since I saw John Taylor catch the game winning pass from Joe Montana in Super Bowl XXIII. The next day my mom bought me my very first jersey...Joe Montana of course.

I graduated from Santa Clara University in June of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. I am currently at the University of Texas at Austin getting my Master's degree in Latin American Studies. I still bleed 49er red even though I'm in the land of the Cowgirls.

Some of my favorite moments are Garrison Hearst's 98-yard TD run on the first play of overtime against the Jets in 1998; whooping on the Chargers in the 1995 Super Bowl; the amazing 25 point comeback in the 2002 Wild Card game against the Giants; "The Catch II" or "The Redemption Reception" (Terrell Owen's game winning catch against Green Bay in 1998); and of course, "The Drive" to win Super Bowl XXIII. I love this team. It's as much a part of me as anything else in this world. Im glad to be able to share some of my love through this site.

My name is Sydney Mayhew and I have been a writer here for 49erwebzone for quite a long time now. This is the most exciting and rewarding experience that I cherish in my life, and I thank David for creating a site that allows me such freedom. I am a 49er fan and an analyst as well, I take this assignment in my life seriously and try and deliver at least one story on a weekly basis.

Although it is just a hobby I take great pride in what I write and how I write it. I mix my articles with bold hard facts and give my opinion as well making it for very tasteful commentary. I have been a 49er freak and fan faithful for as long as I remember, since the birth of the Joe Montana era and I have been hooked ever since.

Of my favorite 49ers of course I must start with Joe Montana, Roger Craig, Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott. I must then end with Steve Young, Jeff Garcia, Bryant Young, Garrison Hearst and now Terrell Owens.

Of course all of the 49er family I love and endure and take great pride in the coaching staff that has been assembled over the years. I manage a fast food restaurant in my own hometown and I find that writing is my outlet for relaxation and enjoyment. I am a family man and have one daughter who also follows my beloved team. I promise to continue bringing you great news and accurate information in relation to the 49ers and offering my continued opinions as well.

Hello! My job deals less with the technical aspect of running the website, and more with the basics. I basically check the site sub-sections and commentaries for any blatant grammatical or spelling errors as soon as I have the opportunity.

I am 29 and work for a college in the Los Angeles area. My first 49er game was a few years back, and I fell in love with the whole experience. I honestly cannot say I’ve met better fans in any sport. As one of the few women who visit the site, I am always ready to share my perspective of the team. Currently, my favorite player is Frank Gore, and I hope he (and the rest of the team) stays healthy this year.
