I watched games on a portable B&W TV, a 17" Sony that sat on a table. Pre-Walsh, pre-good.

87, saw like (i believe) 49ers vs giants MNF game when i was like 5, Loved the colors and how they threw the rock and didn't look boring like other teams. Started watching them more and more, and they became my one and only.

Just wanted to toss this in.. I remember in Jr High School, in English class we had to write what we were Thankful for because Thanksgiving was coming up.. I wrote about how I was Thankful the Niners were 10-0. They lost the next game. Same year Roger Craig fumbled away the game as we were running out the clock against the NYG in the NFC Championship. Only time I ever cried after a game.

Late 80's. Some of my earliest memories are listening to Joe Starkey. By '94 I was lucky enough to know and appreciate what was going on.

Born in '80, first Halloween costume that my parents bought for me was the Joe Montana uniform and helmet, I'd wear it all the time. Family are rabid Niners fans. I can remember games from '85 out.

Born in 90's... started only watching Football in the early 2000's. Loved the Niners cause of the Warriors... Actually started watching in 05 when Smith got drafted... I wish I would've started watching football earlier, but I was into basketball and hockey. Now I've dropped hockey out of my life, and concentrate on the Niners, and Warriors!

Christmas 1985. My first time visiting the states. Had family in San Jose and the Bay Area was all about the Niners. They had beaten Miami in the Super Bowl the year before. Followed the team ever since.

wow thats impressive. great win, however i don't think it was as sweet if you didn't see the 92 and 93 losses to the cowboys. to finally get over the "hump" was pure magic.
