I was watching highlights and saw the Jets (I think) killing the Bengal's defense. I hit the replay button and saw either Clements or Lawson on the opposite side of almost all of those Jet highlights. I did like these guys, but hope they turn their game around over there cause they looked horrible.

Clements is still a good corner- he was just overpaid and he's not as good when matched against smaller, quicker receivers. Has any CB shutdown Larry Fitzgerald like he consistently has? But he should do a fine job in the AFC North vs. Hines Ward, Mo Massaquoi, and Anquan Boldin.

And who cares if Lawson is overrated in the 3-4? They run a 4-3 and his responsibilities will be to lockdown tight ends, and play the run well- the 2 things he excels at.

It's usually Shawntae Spencer on Larry Fitzgerald, and Shawntae does a good job on him because they played together at Pitt.

Spencer was definitely on Fitzgerald in 2009. Can't remember what the setup was last season at the moment.

Do we know for sure what we got in return for Mays? We're hearing it's a 4th round pick (from next year's draft?) with the potential to be a 3rd...anyone find anything that tells us for certain what we got from the Bengals? If no one knows, I'm surprised one of the beat writers can't find out this info.

Mays is already practicing with the Bengals, They wont announce what we got until the draft

Makes me a little sad.

Reading between the lines, he seems kinda sad and disappointed. Seems like he had a brotherhood with the Niners and feels kinda out of place and uncomfortable in Cincinnati and that his hopes have been diminished.

I wish him the best.

I gotta agree. I think the kid could be really good in the league eventually. He's humble, and a really good athlete. I think after this trade, and Pete Carrol passing on him in the draft, he probably will have a big chip on his shoulder.
