That drive came right after the fumble that was recovered, the team had momentum, they were marching it down the field and then Kyle got super conservative, went into full Greg Roman/Jimmy Raye mode for some inexplicable reason. It was completely unlike him. I was expecting a pass, a rollout, something to happen and nada.
I kept expecting Jimmy to hand the ball off Pettis on a quick reverse to try catch the Vikings off guard. Would have been a perfect time to do something like that.

Why I don't understand our front office. They are spending money like they are making splash moves but wasting it on non premium players like McKinnon, Garcon, and Smith. we pay those 3 guys more combined per yr than Kalil Mack's mega deal.
We have no idea if McKinnon is a bad signing dude hasn't even played for us.
We had to overpaid to get anyone come to this dumpster fire their first yr here.
The Malcom smith signing was horrible I agree with that...dude has never been good. At least gracon can play.

I concur. We beat ourselves. We'll see them again in the playoffs.
Niners vs Vikings NFC Championship. Book It
Won't book it because it's gonna be in the divisional as the wc team going back to Minnesota

If Mack was a FA I can bet lynch would've gone hard after him, he's just not gonna give up the picks needed to outbid

I agree, they'll spend money...won't be shocked if they go after ziggy or graham next yr. plus draft someone.
We gotta have some patience.

Tim Kawakami being the voice of reason. I'm suddenly scared that something is going to blow up or that there is going to be some great calamity.

They're not. I live in Minneapolis and keep up on Vikings news, Mike Zimmer and their front office have built one hell of a football team. Cousin's gives them the consistency at the QB position they didn't have last year.
Don't be shocked if they're holding the Lombardi trophy at the end of the season.

I won't say we beat ourselves. I get it, we don't want to give the other team credit for the win, and we want to believe that we could win, but miscues, mistakes, bad throws, wrong routes are part of why you practice....so it doesn't happen. Vikings didn't make mistakes, they made plays on third down when they needed to and we did not.
Cousins was spot on, Jimmy had some great throws but some that hurt us.
I won't say we are a 7-9 team yet, but we have a lot of stuff clean up, next team up. I think we can pick ourselves up, regroup and come out with a win.

The words "nut" and "blind squirrel" come to mind. I wouldn't worry too much about an apocalypse.

Niners will be fine, they just have to tighten up their game.

In context, we are a 6-7 win team this year. Which people have already been saying, but no one wanted to hear it.

So you're saying we're no better than last year

This is easily a 10-11 win team

Meh, we left at least 17 points out there. Rams are better than the Vikings.
