The play before the pick six was the game changing drop. If it would have been a TD it was at least a 50+ yard play. Jimmy missed him on the one in the redzone l.

That one hurt but the game changed on the fumble at the 2 by Morris

That was too early in the game IMO to call it game changing.

Not when youre playing the best defense in the NFL at their place. That was a 14 play drive and we got 0 points. That was most definitely game changing.

Both suck obviously, but we survived the Morris one with no points allowed. The play after the Kittle Drop busted the game open and pretty allowed the Viking defense to play even more aggressive with a 2 score lead.
don't forget another key play when garcon jump in breida way in the end zone ...oh speaking of the great garcon so those drop mr sure handed had
1st time watching first quarter.
A tale of 2 #94s standing out.
First drive Solomon Thomas is rushing straight into Cousins. All of a sudden he does his signature move and appears to run right past him.
Vikings # 94, Goodwin is running across the line and his feet fly out in front of him and is injured. After watching over and over, the only thing I can see in the broadcasts blurred image is #94 clotheslines him or trips him because immediately after, his hands fly up in the air implying he didn't touch him.
Anyone see these differently?

Yeah that was brutal. That drive came right after the fumble that was recovered, the team had momentum, they were marching it down the field and then Kyle got super conservative, went into full Greg Roman/Jimmy Raye mode for some inexplicable reason. It was completely unlike him. I was expecting a pass, a rollout, something to happen and nada.

Garcon tried to INT Jimmy, but dropped it. Woulda been another pick 6 of Jimmy

I can only think of Kyle wanting to run clock because it was near end of half and didn't want to score too early. That's a case of thinking too far ahead, but otherwise I have no idea why he took on a 'pound the rock' approach.

I was thinking he wanted to throw in a few run plays to really sell the play-action.

Guarantee he won't go Neanderthal football again in the rz the rest of the year. I have faith Shanahan isn't like Singletary and harbaugh where they're beyond stubborn
What is crazy is they had 4 turnovers and still had a chance to win it...the Vikings are by far more seasoned with stud vets all over the place.

A ton of dumb mistakes that young players make...doesn't mean it does not matter. They got a lot of work to do, a lot to improve on.

For me the Morris fumble at the GL was the turning pt.
Meanwhile, Mack wins def player of the year at halftime. Jezus. Bears have like a sb d with him

Why I don't understand our front office. They are spending money like they are making splash moves but wasting it on non premium players like McKinnon, Garcon, and Smith. we pay those 3 guys more combined per yr than Kalil Mack's mega deal.

I concur. We beat ourselves. We'll see them again in the playoffs.

Niners vs Vikings NFC Championship. Book It

Definitely not going to book it.

Would be nice though.
