That seems like a good idea but think abou this. Wouldn't you rather have a great left side of the ol protecting kaps blind side then everything up the middle be completely f**ked? At first I wanted Boone at rt but now I think I would rather have a bad right side and an excellent left side.

Are you sure that's the right game? The niners nation breakdown of the PFF grades said Pears had the worst grade at -1.4 and this has B.Thomas playing RG but I'm pretty sure he played LG in the Dallas game. He played RG in the Texans game

Good catch...the former chart was from Week 2, against Texas. Forgot they had the HOF game as Week 1! Please forgive me! Too early this morning! Excel skills diminished until my coffee hits the bloodstream!

Yes, when you put these stats into context they may tell a different story! Thomas seems to really regressed but he was playing LG in the second game. If Boone has locked down the LG spot then it's more important to evaluate Thomas on the right side. And then again...who were they playing? If Thomas was playing Dallas' best DL in the second game...etc. too many variables to use these stats alone.

Agree that I would like to see progress...from all the young guys!

Boone took 16 snaps, Thomas took 23, so if he was going against the starers it would've only been for 7 snaps at most

Which is enough to skew the results I would think. But who played second for Dallas? Are they mixing up their line as we are?

I'm sure they did. I doubt he went against the first team D for the majority of the snaps.
I think we'll see the actual starting OLine in the last preseason game!

Any surprises??

I'm surprised how absolutely worthless this unit.
embarrassing
This line is 2004/2005 bad.....they need to get this s**t figured out quick.

I would begin by holding accountable whoever assembled this worthless bunch.
Pretty ugly in pass pro tonight.

Siberman is obviously not gonna start at RG this season.

Pears is a liability, but he wasn't signed to start. Stinks that he's gonna a have to.

Hope Kilgore returns sooner rather than later. That'll either kick Looney out to RG or make him the primary backup.
I seriously contemplate taking kap out.....this is bad night already, let's not make it an absolute horrendous night and get kap hurt.
From center to the right everything looks like trash
