I would have taken the L better if we blitzed and got burned by Rodgers and Adams. Instead we went out like some peanut-butter b*tches trying to stop a Top-5 all-time QB and arguably the best WR in the league. I like Demeco. Hopefully he is a quick learner and has the capacity to adjust on the fly better in the future.
We need to give Ryan's at least 2 seasons to evaluate if he's good or not. His growing pains are reminiscent of Saleh's in his first 2 years. Saleh also struggled with his schemes when our DBs were weak.
Here's my question: with both Fangio and Saleh, our defense was stellar because we were able to get pressure with just 4 linemen and send everyone else into coverage. To me, it seems we should still be able to do this. Maybe our line isn't quite as good as those were, but with Bosa, Ford, Armstead and Kinlaw, wasn't that the idea? Disguise coverage, rush 4 and crush the QB. What is going wrong with that?
Three straight late game collapses. No bueno.

Ima gonna disagree.

The (static) coverage call was fine but the (dynamic) after snap behavior SUKKED!

Our safeties need to sandwhich. They sat zoning.. 30 SECONDS TO PLAY. did not move to close down receivers!

We tried to do NOTHINGGGG!

We attacked NOTHINGGG! GUARDED GRASS!

You have adams on one side, and 87 receivers on the other.

C'mon man. Everyone knows what's going to happen. AND WE DID NOT ATTACK IT.

WE DID NOT TAKE AWAY ADAMS. WE DID NOT FORCE PLAY WE DID NOT FORCE A THROW OUTSIDE THE HASHES.

I am legit terrified about the rest of the season.

Growing pains, DR and the defense will get better.

growing pains.. lol. nice built in excuse for losing a winnable game and making the lions game harder than it needed to be. the stuff that is broke on defense shows no sign of getting better in my opinion with a non existent pass rush and terrible secondary play even from the safeties who we were told will be very good this year. and i think a pre season 10 or 11 win team will struggle to win 8 games this year. it will add to kyles overall poor record with us and yet we will still hear people say he is one of the top five coaches in the nfl. again HOPING kwin and HOPING FORD will be studs and HOPING aa can be the 2019 version of aa was what kyle and lynch built this defense on.. that is terrible

jason was a huge loss but this defense should not have just totally collapsed like it has

They look confused out there...our all pro MLB Warner is making mistakes he never does. There is clearly a lack of communication out there. This is all coaching IMO.

I think they were short on CBs after losing Kwaun and Norman. Ward had to play CB and Hufanga came in on that final Adams catch. That sucked. It's on Lenior though - he played it like he was playing Cover 3, bailing at the snap.
