I'm guessing fans wants to see Jimmy follow through with his entire body into throws, but the claim that he doesn't use his hips is not even remotely true. Dude generates a ton of torque on his throws. The thing is he does it from a pretty quiet and static lower-body throwing platform.
This ain't like Cam Newton who doesn't even bother pivoting his body weight off his rear foot lol.

One of these days I'm expecting Newton to throw the ball with his arm still attached to it.

What if he plays even worse than he did on Monday? Then this place will really go crazy with the overreactions.

Our defense looks much improved and could potentially win the game against Winston straight up. In any case, we'll get a much better idea about that D. Plus we have a gnarly punter lol.
If Richburg isn't healthy, I would go into Tampa with a super conservative gameplan. Throw lots of bubble screens and run the ball a lot. Let Jimmy G just be a game manager.
In the retrospectoscope, but also after the first 3 plays, it was obvious OL couldn't pass protect, so right then, and really even before the game going up against Von Miller, Hariris and Chubb...the game plan should have been utltra simple and ultra fast to pull off. And as it turned out that would have worked just grand against DEN 1s. Now the 2s and 3s? Well for them , kyle had a great game plan. 45 yds runs 20 yd passes. But against the 1s?
Shoulda been exactly what you said : super conservative gameplan.

Yeah they talked about it on the better rivals podcast, one of them is a qb coach and stated a lot of younger QBs are being taught to throw more like how Jimmy G is doing it I guess

Also he's been going to that qb coach Tom house I believe who trains Brady as well so whatever Jimmy is doing I got no issuesOriginally posted by NYniner85:Originally posted by Heroism:I'm guessing fans wants to see Jimmy follow through with his entire body into throws, but the claim that he doesn't use his hips is not even remotely true. Sure, they weren't good. But he's the QB. Even in the face of awful OL play he needs to... you know... not throw it directly to the opposition. That's part of being a starting QB. Go down or throw it away.
Taking sacks wouldve been better from a game management standpoint, but he'd still be getting a ton of blame even without the pick. 1-6 0 yards, a near pick and a sack isnt all that much better.
Throwing it away or taking the sack is 10000x better than throwing one pick and almost throwing another.

I would hardly call slight concern "all the bs." That is pretty much all that has been happening in this thread aside from being all in and backing him up.

He'd probably still be getting s**tted on even if he took the sack. That's all I'm saying.

Being a great quarterback involves being able to throw an accurate ball when the pocket breaks down and you can't step into the throw.
