If Richburg isn't healthy, I would go into Tampa with a super conservative gameplan. Throw lots of bubble screens and run the ball a lot. Let Jimmy G just be a game manager.

I hope so. Some QBs have better timing when working from under center. I'd like to see him play how he's supposed to play in a regular season game. Run those bootlegs, take snaps under center, playaction where he turns his back to the play. All the normal stuff. No more kid gloves.

Yeah, it was weird having Matthews start in the slot. Maybe weird isn't the word I want. I think "dumb" is the word. Matthews might have more consistent hands than Bourne, but nothing else he does is better than Bourne. He simply offers the least value to us.
I don't know why we continue to force Garland to play center. Johnson is clearly better, but the beat writers reported today that the team isn't even considering anyone else as an option outside of Garland. To that, I honestly say. WTF. I mean W. T. F.
It would be one thing if he was reportedly doing great in practice, but even THOSE are negative on BG. If you wasted money guaranteeing his salary, oh well. You made a mistake. Don't jeopardize your team's success because of that. Protect Jimmy. Start Johnson at C or at LEAST over Toran at OG. Toran is constantly getting tossed to the ground. I don't want him falling on another one of our guys. It was terrifying that he was out there with the Starters in front of Jimmy G.

Sure, they weren't good. But he's the QB. Even in the face of awful OL play he needs to... you know... not throw it directly to the opposition. That's part of being a starting QB. Go down or throw it away.
