York was arrested Sunday morning after responding to an ad on a prostitution website as part of a sting operation conducted by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He pleaded no contest Monday morning to two misdemeanor charges: disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
York reportedly spent two days in jail and was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
The Athletic reported that York negotiated a price of $160 for one hour of sexual activity and was instructed to meet at a fictitious lot number in the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community. He drove his rental car to the meeting but returned to the main road when he could not find the lot number he had been given.
York was arrested at 9:35 a.m. Sunday.
The body cam footage shows York wearing a New York Yankees T-shirt, gray basketball shorts, and sneakers. He asked officers, "Can I ask what you're doing?" York then claimed he was "just driving" and answered "no" when asked if he was meeting anyone.
York was escorted to the back of a police vehicle. Officers can later be seen seizing cash from the rental car. The 49ers owner's phone was also seized and later returned. It was reportedly used to verify that the messages arranging the encounter were sent from that device.
"Sweet, that one was easy," one officer can be heard saying of the sting operation.
On Wednesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told reporters, "Yes, it's being reviewed under the personal conduct policy. We'll do that, and when there's something to be reported, we'll talk."
