And difficult to torque the back and hip without reacting force to his knee.
Hence, no zip on those throws the other night

The truth is nobody really knows what Jimmy will be. Ten NFL starts for a 28 year old QB don't give enough information to make a good prediction what kind of career he will have.

Lol what

2 were tipped at the line, one was rushed because of a blown assignment. Velocity is not an issue

Your right - we know he can play at an elite level - but 2017 was a long time ago and he hasn't been on the field long enough to prove that he can do it on a consistent basis.

drew Brees was around 28 when he injured his right arm in San Diego. Brees career was in doubt at that time due to the injury, but it was similar to Jimmy in that nobody knew what the future held for Brees. I'm hoping Jimmy has the same trajectory as Brees after he landed with the Saints, of course with more super bowls than Brees.
Every great Quarterback has had a bad game. Even the great Tom Brady has been a victim! week 1, 2003 14-28 123 yards, 0 TDs 4 Ints. Bills 31 Pats 0. Not saying he's Brady just showing you that even the greats can have a bad day.
That's not the only bad game either. Week 14, 2006 12-25 78 yards, 0 TDs 0 Ints. Dolphins 21 Pats 0.
I can give many more examples but I'm sure you get the picture
Don't panic just yet folks. P.S jimmy has always looked like he doesn't "step" into his throws! go watch the tape!

Yeah, I agree, Giedi - he can make a nice comeback ala Brees.
It starts with playcalling imo.

We had two nice runs to start the game and then we go full spread? Why not give him an easy boot with a quick pass to the TE in the flats?

In fact we didn't run any play action.

Yeah, Kyle has to think a little more about Jimmy and the fact that he's just getting back into the groove.
Ted Nguyen of The Athletic also had a great breakdown of Jimmy G's pass attempts...some very good context on each play.

Recommend reading it if you get The Athletic.

What was the general summary of it?

I'm hardly concerned about playcalling in preseason.

Always a silver lining. That means he has not taken a lot of hits and wear and tear for a 28 yr old.

Who needs Ted when we've got thl already beating him to the punch?
