For some reason like half of them go the lions lmfao. Pettigrew, Ebron, hockenstein. The lions are weird when it comes to their drafting.

As much as people hated on him... Vernon Davis was worth his pick. Consistently one of the best players on the team and took over games.

Fant looks pretty good, besides it's a position that takes a few years, this new crop are promising.

Haven't watched Pitts, but seems a good fit for Panthers
Daniel Jeremiah's first mock has SF taking Pitts WTF

Haha. He's been my dark horse pick for sure.

If the 49ers draft Pitts, it signals to me they're moving away from having a fullback and switching from 21 to 22 as their base offense. McVay did something similar this year. It works really well against that 6-1 alignment the league has been using to counter these Shanny-style offenses.

I don't see it happening, tho. I think Shanny is a meat and potatoes guy in the first. We'll grab OL or DL(edge) or a QB if Shanny reeeeeally likes one.

It's not a dark horse. It's the most obvious Shanahan pick on the board.

Should be considered a leading candidate on this fan web site.

A lot will depend on what happens in FA. But Shanahan may not be able to resist.

IF (big if) the Niners stay at 12, I think Pitts is the most obvious choice. Maybe on a small trade back to 13 or 14.

Edge is deep with no obvious elite talent this year. Can get that in the 2nd or early 2nd with a small trade up. There's no massive drop off in that range.

If they resign Trent Williams I think Pitts is the favorite to be taken at 12.

DJ was on Aiyuk to the Niners early. He knows what Shanahan wants.
The Gronk/Hernandez duo was pretty awesome until... It would be intriguing to have a similar situation without the Hernandez off the field issues.
This would be the scenario for this case. Draft Pitts, bring back Juice and play them with Kittle.
For the WR bring Curtis Samuel to play WR3 behind Deebo and Aiyuk.
Round 2 would have to go to CB, IOL or edge. Will be hard to address it all indeed. Not to mention the QB situation.
He's for sure a 49er next year.

Yeah, Kyle has stated he will ALWAYS have a FB. I don't expect that to change.

This is a silly pick for SF and I don't see if very likely. I see Pitts as more of a moving TE similar to say Waller. I don't think he's bad at putting his hand on the ground and blocking BUT he would be more of that big slot type of guy.

based on the scheme that Kyle has run for yrs, why is this the most obvious?
Would be fun to see, would need an epic later draft for oline, db and pass rush
