Not a fan of spending big money on Jeffrey or Alonso, both are injury prone.

Who you bringing in at WR? No injuries for kiko this yr looks to be healthy and AJ's injuries have been soft tissue which is something that chip's sports science have been good with (lowest rates of soft tissue injuries in the league).

They have to do something at WR.

While Garoppolo is probably a better player right now than Trubisky, Kizer, or Watson, there's a very good reason why no one will offer a 1st round pick for him - I'd much rather have a 21-22 year old QB who could potentially become a franchise QB on a cheap rookie deal for 5 years than pay Garoppolo $100 million over the next 5 years hoping he'll become a franchise QB (no guarantee there either).

Someone like Falk or Mahomes will likely be there in the 2nd round and I'd take them over trading the pick for Garoppolo too. It's a huge advantage having a franchise QB on a rookie deal and worth the risk even though Garoppolo may be more of a sure thing.

Kiper moved Mahomes up to the #2 QB on his big board last week, so there's even a chance that Kizer or Watson fall to our 2nd round pick or could be available for a moderate trade up (Mahomes probably dropped back down on his big board after struggling against Iowa State though).

Who the hell is paying Jimmy G $100 million lol he's got 91 snaps...if he blows up then pay the man.

I like mahomes but I'd take Jimmy G over him all day everyday.

i agree with Jimmy G over Mahomes and Mahomes is my 2nd fav QB in this draft behind Watson..i think if Mahomes is drafted then he should sit a year and learn Kellys scheme unless he wows the coaching staff and beats out the other QB..

Exactly the move to get Jimmy gets this team closer to relevant then drafting any of these qbs...if he's good pay him that's not bad thing lol. I'd rather not have to sit around and wait for them to develop over a yr or two.

Very nice mock.

What about Bennie Logan or Brandon Williams in FA?

Jonathan Allen would also be a solid pick if we're not able to land Garrett.

Bradford got $17.5 million/year and Osweiler got $18 million/year. That's the market for starting QB's and we'll have to pay more than market value for anyone we bring in this free agency and next likely. We're not exactly an attractive free agent destination right now. You're kidding yourselves if you think we're getting Garoppolo to stay here for less than what the Texans gave Osweiler.

Regardless of how he plays next year, we will have to pay more than he's worth to keep him, because we're a terrible free agent destination right now. I'd much rather have a player we bring in through the draft getting paid under market value than a player we trade for getting paid more than market value after his cheap year is up. I'd take Mahomes and $15+ million a year of extra cap room over Jimmy G all day everyday.

If the niners do trade for Jimmy G then it better be asap when the season is over so Jimmy G has basically a while offseason to learn Kellys scheme which I personally think he will be great in..

Either 1 of Logan or Williams would be big for the defense..Is Allen really that much of a beast..i know Bamas D as a whole is amazing but never really focused on Allen as much..more Foster and Fitzpatrick (who went to HS in jersey and played against my brother)

LOL talking like its your money..but I understand what your saying..the niners would have 1 yr of him cheap and 1 yr of him at the franchise tag cost..then they figure out if hes worth keeping..2 years at what say 21 million is not bad..

We have two years to get a deal done...players want to get paid and if he plays well then guess what people will want to come here...who the hell wanted to play in Oakland before a couple yrs ago? Who cares if we have to pay a good qb?? we will have $100 million in cap space and who we paying for on this team?? You see any pro bowl guys on this roster that's gonna take up a ton of cap space??

Mahomes while I like hasn't proven anything at the next level and might take more than a yr or two to devlop (who you playing until then some scrub?)...I for one don't want to sit around and wait/go through qb growing pains from a college spread qb because we didn't want to fork over some cash.

Allen is a monster think faster suh...but he'd be a waste here having him eat up tackles at NT....if we didn't draft AA or Buckner than yes.

Not bad at all when you have $100 million, not pro bowlers to sign, and the cap keeps going up.

Garrett is getting all the hype and deservedly so, but Allen is almost on par with him talent-wise.
