Source Carr asking for: 2-3 Million per year! | Page 3

David Carr's first choice is to join the 49ers. Now its up to the 49ers to sign Carr to a 2 or 3 yr deal..in the range of 5-10 million dollars. Depending on the deal. 49ers are contemplating the idea of paying and extra 1-2 mill a year for a back up qb(compared to Shaun Hill.) Announcement should come soon of a deal or if the 49ers chose to pass.

i think that is fine, he would be a good backup. For qb that isnt that much, might mean that hill is going to be cut though

Obviously there has to be mutual interest by both sides if the 49ers are the first team David Carr is coming to visit. He's done alright since leaving Houston. I wasn't too sure at first, but I think Carr is an upgrade over the current backup, QB Shaun Hill. As much as some of us love Shaun Hill, he does have his limitations.

I kind of think PWilly is upset we aren't going after anyone besides a guy who hopefully won't even get any playing time for us if everything goes right. He's probably thinking we need to patch up the OLine and the secondary.

makes sense, a lot had to change when Smith stepped in and Raye/Sing weren't able to adapt quickly
