I think Quinn could make sense for our team, but at what price I dunno.

We are really in a catch-22 situation. One one hand, there is nothing we need more than some consistancy across the board and just a chance for all the players on our team to have a a chance to be in the same system, wit the same key players for more than one year in a row.
Just the CHANCE to not be learning a new system because of a change of key coaching personnel and/or key starters would be HUGE. Also, Alex showed just enough to be given the chance to continue.
IF, and that is a big if he continues to show such improvement and their isn't a clearly better option we can get at a reasonable price.
And both situations appear to be true. IF McNabb was really available for the right price or a Carson Palmer type was, then OF COURSE we should make a move. We are far from being stable enough at the QB postion to not persue obvious upgrades.
However, that doesn't seem to really be the case. There is fodder talk of pipe dreams, but really, there are not pro-bowl type QBs available. Nor do we have a pick in the draft where a clear cut automatic starter for the future is there.
So, if we can get the right deal on a better back up than Hill and/or if a mid round pick is someone we like, then sure we pull the trigger. And if that person or Davis beats out Alex at some point, so be it.
But we can't try and start over with someone who is a marginal upgrade at best just for the sake of a change. That kind of needless turnover has been our biggest problem over the past 5 years. And even though much of it was unavoidable (injuries and coaching changes we had no control over), and I'm not Alex lover, you need a clearly better option if you are going to make a change at such a key position.
Without a major upgrade, we are better off building on what we have at this point.
