Should the niners trade for or sign a FA QB next year?

great idea, he can hold the clip board and give the starting QB his helmet when it is time for the offense to go back on the field

Come on man I know Kory Sheets looked really good against those 2nd stringers but he hasn't done anything in the NFL. Preseason is not NFL football, just ask Coffee. So let's wait until he actually does something before you crown him the greatest RB in NFL history.
Now replace
Kory Sheets with Nate Davis
2nd with 3rd
RB with QB
you all b***h about Sheets getting too much love yet N Davis is god on these boards

No. Give Davis a shot first. Let him compete against Alex this offseason, and see what happens. I doubt we are gonna draft a QB with our top 10 pick, at least I hope we don't turn into the Buccaneers...And, I don't see trying to trade for one, especially not a high profile QB.

yea create a QB competition for the 4th season in a row that is smart thinking. Or we could just keep things they way they are now. Smith as the starter for next season, either Hill as his back up or a FA vet brought in to be #2 and Nate Davis holding the fort at the #3 spot. Ahh yes that second idea sounds so much better.

what is wrong with you? do you even watch football? BOTH of those QB's make Alex Smith look like Joe Montana.
