I'd hate to bring in a new kicker right before the playoffs.....but can it really get worse? The dude sadly can't hit anything, and how many playoff games have been decided by a FG in the end?
We can't even trust the guy to make it if we get to the 20 yard line.

This is getting ugly. He is really struggling but I have no idea who out there would be an upgrade. Right now our odds are much better going for it any time between the 20 and 35... yikes.
This is from Roto World - what happened to Ryan Longwell?
Best Available Kickers as of 12/27/2012
1. Ryan Longwell 2. John Kasay 3. Billy Cundiff 4. Neil Rackers 5. Justin Medlock 6. Dave Rayner 7. David Buehler 8. John Potter 9. Garrett Lindholm 10. Rhys Lloyd

Longwell pct was like 76 last year, Kasay was 82. Rackers was 84. Actually Rackers might be the best choice, IMO

We reallly should have made the change to ANYONE but Akers a few weeks ago. Let the new guy get settled in for the playoffs. At this point, we ride or die with akers.

Hey remember when David Akers tied the record for longest FG in NFL history? It was IMO the most impressive kick in NFL history because of the distance and the fact that it happened in GB and not some place like Denver... oh man those were good times.
I can't see us making a change now, but his last three games have been horrible.

He's basically been horrible since he made that record tying FG IMO

IMO our best choice is to sign Kasay. He did well for NO last year and he's a left footed kicker, which Lee is Already use to and doesnt have to switch around to get use to a right footed kicker just before the playoffs. Akers is toast!

Switching the snap and holder stuff at this point would be a disaster. A left footer would be good. We are so deep now in the season. I don't think they will figure the other side out in 2 weeks.

Neil Rackers or John Kasay. Kasay might be the logical choice because he's also a lefty. No adjustment for Lee, who's been holding lefties for a long time now dating back to Nedney.

akers is a safer bet than someones whos been collecting dust all year long out of football. i say they stick with him and not f**k up things even more. i can see fumbles and botched snaps with a new kicker since people have to adjust to his ways rather than sticking with akers and getting a miss every once in a while

My worst nightmare is seeing our season end due to a damn missed fg, it's one thing getting flat out beat but losing like we did last yr or by a missed fg will just destroy me

Kyle w was the weakest link last year
Guess who it is this year since kyle w is (for god sake) on IR
