sorry to burst your bubble but he has already been practicing his returns in the otas. the past is the past, he has worked hard and deserves a chance to return kicks and punts this year, got no problem with it
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with him returning kicks if he's improved. As JH stated it was something the coaching staff thrusted him into. My point is that we don't NEED him to return kicks. If he's better at it now that just strengthens my point that I really doubt Ginn will make the team given how one dimensional he is and injured. With the depth at WR we now have Ginn has no chance getting playing time there unless he improves unbelievably. With Cox, James, and an improved Williams (not to mention rookies Palmer and Owusu will no doubt get a chance or two at it) the returner spot is deep with good talent, and that puts Ginn roster spot in serious jeopardy.

Get over it dude. The team didn't draft Williams to be a returner. Do you know why Ginn is still in the NFL???? It's because returning punts in the NFL is one of the hardest things to do. It was bad weather and high pressure and the guy didn't come through, it happens.

I'll never forget(or get over) Kyle Williams costing this fan base a championship, f*** him, his dad & whoever supports this career choke artist. You're right mistakes happen, but given his history of muffing punts in college during critical situations & now making the same mistakes in the NFL it's time to wake up & realize this guy can't be trusted to hold on to the ball. Get him out of here!!! We don't need him or the curse that follows him.

... and if he is asked to be our primary returner (say Ginn gets or stays injured, and we cut him loose), and KW has an even better year of K/P returning for us in 2012 ? What will you feel then?
He's a tough one. His retern skills (speed) makes him hard to cut. As soon as LaMike and Williams gain the trust of coaching staff, Ginn is gone.

It may be easy to blow this off now, but if those other two look good in training camp, Ginn will certainly be in the hot seat.

I'm not a fan of hypothetical questions, history repeats itself which has been the story of KW's career. Everywhere he goes he blows it when his team needs him the most.

If for some unfortunate reason Ginn isn't our return man next year my logical choice to replace him would be LMJ, who is much more talented then Williams & he can hold on to the damn ball.
The hate for this kid is just rediculous, but regardless he is the future in the slot, and probally the return game. As mention already Ginn was bad at returning punts early in his career. Its a tough position, but it can be learned and improved upon, just ask Ginn.

I see around 6 TD's for Williams this year. He has a knack for the slot position and is able to find seams and has the ability to make a quick burst and head for the endzone. He had 3 TD's in EXTREMELY limited action.

Anyways it doesnt matter because everyone will be back on his jock the second he returns a punt for a TD, or has a two TD game.

As long as it isn't back there taking punts, I'm alright with that. But I see AJ Jenkins and Kyle Williams filling a very similar niche. If AJ steps up during training camp, I think Williams is gone along with Anthony Dixon.

I dont see AJ or KW as similar at all. Its kinda like the comparison people make between Hunter and LMJ. People want to compare the two but in reality they are nothing alike.

AJ may see some time in the slot this season, but thats not where he is destined.
