But then reality sets it and i think many of just want a solid number two behind alexc. we did not have that last year and we got lucky. I do not want to tempt fate again this coming year
Looked all over for a "f**k up" and the only one I could find is your post...tried to shut it but was denied permission....waiting for further instruction!

Dull days of summer before TC! Just have to have a sense of humor and realize folks are going to make comments...no harm in it!
Agree with you and look forward to having three or four very good QBs on the team. Can use them in different ways, have security and/or use them for trades. Imagine being able to trade our number one pick and a QB to a team to move up into a top ten pick next year!

yep. we will have plenty of picks and ammunition to move up in the draft if we so desire next year. we got some guys on one year deals and some guys getting up there in age but plenty of time to address that stuff with next years draft. It has been kind of funny that some people get bent out of shape when we ( I ) poke a little fun at ck. I like him and support him but I just poke some fun at people who a month ago proclaimed alex should be cut and ck should be given the keys out right

The quote + the thread kind of points to Kaepernick being bounced off the team. Not goin to happen.

Sounds like it. Those who wanted to let Smith go aren't looking too swift right now! LOL!
I'll help Alex Smith pack his s**t. You either have it or you don't and he DON'T.
He does have the best D in the league, a solid running game and the best ST unit in the league. that's why they went 13-3.
you'll see after 2 qtrs of the 1st game.. all the people saying alex smith is good will be retracting their statements.I'm sure the 1st pass he throws will be a check down BULLET to Gore who is 4 yards away from him..

did you know we had the LEAST attempts to RBs past year (and yet had 2nd most rops in nfl)
he did not check down last year
he either has it or he doesnt?
then by that definition he definitallly has it
7 comeback wins? (most in franchise history)
20 point comeback?
only player in nfl history to lead 2 80+ yard drives in less than 3 min
he has done all that

I've probably been Kaepernicks biggest critic so far, but I gotta say its way too early to tell if he has made any progress or regressed.

Holy crap I didn't know he's the only one. Impressive.
I thought the defense and special teams won it for us last year. Break out game for him and VD for sure. Nice to know when the defense has a couple of break down and special team can't get the return yards, we have a QB that's capable of getting it done without turning the ball over in pressure packed situation.

So, Alex gets 7 years and Kaepernick gets one full offseason? Sounds fair.

Who says that? Colin is a project, even more than Smith was, it is gonna take awhile to see how far he develops. At least he doesn't have to go through all of the b******t Smith had to with a terrible team and head coach and a revolving door at OC. I haven't lost faith in him, but some guys that thought he'd be ready to start by now need to have more patience than they did with Smith because right now Colin is nowhere near as good.
