Sucks another OC, another year, there's no consistency there. I hope he stays, Harbaugh will convince him to stay.

I just don't see the big deal if he leaves. Our coach is an offensive guy.

Just listening to 95.7 and the host of the current show said if Roman does get this job he could possibly leave prior to the end of our playoff run. Not sure how valid that statement is but if it were true I for one would be seriously pissed off. That would f**k us up and if I were the 49ers I would sue Roman for breach of contract if he jumped out a few weeks early.

With the exception of Bobby Petrino leaving Atlanta early (he would have been fired anyway), I can't recall a coach/coordinator ever abandoning an NFL team before the season ended, especially a playoff bound team, for a college gig.

Yeah, if a coach ever did that, they would burn any bridges on getting back into the NFL. Not a good way to leave.

I understand fans freaking out over another change at OC but this is Harbaugh, I am 100% positive that we will promote Chryst to OC. We will be fine and like I said before in other posts similar to this one, Harbaugh will call the plays if hes not comfortable with other options.
Chryst's brother is the new head coach at Pitt. Pitt was rumored to be looking at hiring Geep as OC.

Pitt: Multiple reports are circulating that Wisconsin offensive line coach Bob Bostad will be joining Paul Chryst at Pitt as the offensive coordinator.
