You are correct.

Lets see what young Jed'll do. I want to give him a chance. As for the Yorks, they have been nothing but disaster so far.

I have to disagree with the premise of this thread. The only time the York's make any changes is when the "bashing" reaches the ownership level in the press at such a level that they react. They hate being in the news so I would say if changes need to be made to make the franchise better the bashing needs to start lower in the organization but progress up to and above Jed York as quickly as possible. It is the York's own doing by their reactionary management style.

You get it.

1) Apologize for being born into a well off family that just so happened to own the team he likely grew up watching.

2) Stop attempting to improve said team because again, according to the people here he's too young and inept as an executive to turn the franchise around.

And his just barely two years as Team President serves as proof.

3) Sell the team and leave town, even though he doesn't even own it (his parents do).

.....because given his position, you would do exactly just that.

1. No need for apology, a resignation will do

2. Stop attempting to improve said team by leaving the state of California

3. Leave town and never come back

4. Hire a real team president

Vance Singletary was not spared for being a nephew of Mike's and yet at the top we have the ultimate under-performer who has no fear of getting canned. A little ironic, no?

Who got given what? HUH?

Jed got the job b/c his name is York. No NFL experience and he's a freaking CEO. Jed York fired someone who earned his position the same way he did -- by doing nothing. But for some niner fans want to annoint this guy a football messiah. Why?

Troll.

If trolling -- to you -- is asking legit questions like San Diego posed -- then put me in the Troll Boat please.

Now -- I'm willing to give Jed the benefit of the doubt. He inheirited Alex. He inheirited Nolan. He inheirited the mess that Daddy York left behind.

He blundered on his first choice for coach. He made a mistake. He has since taken action to correct that mistake.

So -- unlike San Diego -- yeah -- I still have some faith in the kid.

But having faith doesn't mean you shouldn't be willing to ask the tough questions or complain about your true feelings.

San Diego could be nitpicky at times but he has valid points. Put me in the troll boat also. I am very unhappy with the current state of the 49ers and it really does fall on ownership. Jed is part of that ownership.

I don't have much confidence in Jed, regardless of his short history as CEO. Set the kool-aid down and I'll put down my torch and lynchin' rope. Let's just see who his next hire will be, it's coming soon.

WELL PLAYED SIR, how was Eddie D's frist few years with the team? Give the KID a chance. We are at the bottom right now of a bad divison and most of us would agree that we DO have more talent than the other teams, just look at our record in the west.
