I wanted to keep Davis... but lets see what Troy brings to the table.
If he ever gets his chance!

If Troy Smith gets his chance that means that Alex Smith was injured and Singletary felt Carr sucked.

Sing did say, "I think could learn to like him as a back up". Which in my mind means, he the lesser of two evils, what choice do I have right now.

That was between Nate Davis and David Carr. If I had to guess the roster will look like this hopefully by mid season.
QB position only of course
A. Smith, T. Smith, D. Carr
I just hope we never have to hear Smith goes down and Smith starts warming up on the sidelines

Welcome aboard, Troy Smith. We now have the best QB stable in the League, as far as pedigree. Seriously, welcome aboard and good luck!
and what is the NFL career winning percentage of all 3 QBs on our roster
college pedigree doesn't mean s**t in the NFL if you don't win.
Relax. Hakuna Matata. Ohmmmmmmmmm....

I don't believe you. I watched every game he played as a college QB, and also followed him in his early Pro career. He was actually poised to take the starting job in Baltimore 2 years ago, but he got injured and lost playing time to his backup at the time... Joe Flacco. The rest is history.
I'm not saying he is football God incarnate and he will dispatch a squadron of virgins to every male Niner fan, but he is easily an upgrade over Davis (who is most likely practice squad bound anyway). He is smart, a leader, mobile, athletic, and has *almost* as big a cannon as Davis.
Solid move.
Where are them 15 Virgins?

Of course it is! I think Sean Payton would LOVE to have these guys on his roster, because he would use each 3 of them to their strengths. (Yes, even David Carr has some strengths.)
