The San Francisco 49ers beat the Las Vegas Raiders 18-12 in their preseason finale. Pro Football Focus released its grades and snap counts from the game, providing a closer look at which 49ers players stood out and who has more work to do.

Quarterback play

Only two quarterbacks played for the 49ers against the Raiders.
Mac Jones played eight snaps, completing one of five pass attempts for seven yards. He earned a 50.9 passing grade and a 48.9 overall offensive grade. Jones also carried the ball once for two yards, earning a 58.3 rushing grade.

Adrian Martinez played 53 snaps, completing 12 of 21 attempts for 130 yards. He earned a 59.9 passing grade and a 58.8 overall grade. Martinez also had two carries for seven yards, earning a 54.2 rushing grade.

Highest marks

Recently acquired linebacker Deion Jones was the 49ers' highest-graded player, earning an 84.6 defensive grade. He was credited with two tackles over his 15 defensive snaps.

Running back Khalil Herbert played just 12 offensive snaps but earned the team's best offensive grade at 70.9. He finished the game with 39 rushing yards on eight carries, averaging 4.9 yards per attempt.

Blocking

Right tackle Brandon Parker was the 49ers' highest-graded offensive lineman, earning a 69.1 offensive grade. He led the team with an 81.9 run-blocking grade but earned a 63.7 pass-blocking grade.

Connor Colby, who started at right guard, earned the game's best pass-blocking grade at 88.0 and did not allow a single pressure.

Left guard Carver Willis earned a 44.2 offensive grade, the lowest among 49ers offensive linemen. He also posted a team-low 42.4 run-blocking grade. His 61.5 pass-blocking grade included two pressures and two hurries allowed.

Isaac Alarcón, who took snaps at right tackle, earned a team-low 49.7 pass-blocking grade among the 49ers' offensive linemen.

In total, the 49ers surrendered seven pressures, with six charged to the offensive line.

Pass catchers

Running back Khalil Herbert earned an 80.5 receiving grade, the best of the game, although the sample size was small. He caught two passes for four yards on two targets.

Jordan Watkins earned the highest receiving grade among the 49ers' wide receivers at 65.8 after leading the game with 64 receiving yards on four catches and eight targets.

Tight end Hayden Rucci earned a team-low 43.5 receiving grade. He caught two passes for 25 yards on four targets.

Rushing

Running back Jordan James earned the 49ers' best rushing grade at 67.3, finishing the game with eight carries for 35 yards and a 4.4-yard average.

Running back Sincere McCormick earned the team's lowest rushing grade at 51.9, finishing with eight rushing yards on seven attempts.

Rookie running back Kaelon Black started the game and earned a 61.3 rushing grade from the analytics site. He finished with 28 rushing yards on four carries, averaging 7.0 yards per attempt.

Pass rush

Linebacker Jaden Dugger earned a 77.9 pass-rushing grade, the highest among the 49ers. He finished with two pressures, two quarterback hits, and an impressive 10 tackles.

The only 49ers players credited with sacks were edge rushers Ogbo Okoronkwo and Keion White, who each recorded one. Okoronkwo tied Dugger for the team lead with two pressures.

Defensive tackle CJ West was the 49ers' lowest-graded pass rusher, earning a 50.1 pass-rushing grade.

Run defense

Linebacker Jalen Graham earned the game's best run-defense grade at 86.1, while defensive tackle CJ West earned a team-low 32.8 run-defense grade.

Pass defense

Linebacker Deion Jones earned San Francisco's best coverage grade at 81.3. He was targeted once and broke up the pass.

Linebacker Jalen Graham earned the team's lowest coverage grade at 43.8. He was targeted twice, allowing one catch for eight yards.

Among the 49ers' defensive backs, cornerback Darrell Luter Jr. earned a team-high 78.9 coverage grade, while cornerback Eli Apple earned a team-low 52.2 coverage grade.

Tackling

Rookie safety Jalen Stroman earned an 81.9 tackling grade, the best of the game, while defensive tackle CJ West earned a team-low 28.4 tackling grade.
