I choose the "Other" option; they all look GOOD to me.

Yeah, that's why it is a tough choice. Pretty much any one of these images could represent our entire franchise. Heart, Passion, Champions, Courage, Fight

I choose the black and white Walsh and Montana photo. In color I wouldn't have chosen it but I just love the lights, the sky, Montana's eyes, etc. It's like your back in the school yard playing with your friends.

I should know this but since I probably wasn't born when this photo took place what game is this and what is the situation. Where they actually drawing on the grass or what?

Anyone know the answer to my questions?

The pic was taken during the 1985 Championship game.

Thanks, found some info...

Bill Walsh and Joe Montana call a play during a time out during the 1985 NFC Championship game against the Chicago Bears at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

Wonder what the reasoning behind it was?

Sorry Gore,
I wasn't trying to be funny, I guess an emoticon should have been included.
To better answer your question - The B&W of Coach and Joe, is my favourite
of the bunch. From an artistic/photographic viewpoint, it speaks volumes. As
a photo enthusiast, I wish I had taken that shot. A classic case of right place,
right time, for the shooter.

I was at that game; first tier, behind where Home-plate would be.
I was working, and 25 years is quite a span...however this is what
I can recall.

The Niners shut out 'da Bears 23-0 in that game. They scored their
last TD (RB, Wendell Tyler) in the 4th quarter; at the end of the field
(in-front-of), where Coach and Joe are kneeling. From the looks of
the photogragh, I'd say it was the 1st half of the game, (could be wrong)
when this encounter took place.

They are on the Niners side of the field, a little ways beyond where 3rd
base (Giants baseball configuration) would be, right before the outfield
grass starts.

Wasn't talking about you when I said people where trying to be funny. I knew people would post stuff with Alex Smith and Hill just to get a rise. I have no problem with you liking all of them. They all could represent this great franchise. Thanks for the info on that picture as well. I seen that the photo was shot by Michael Zagaris. I know he has been with the team for a long time. He does an awesome job.

Hei Sonoco,
is this picture from the same game, where the refs made a bad
(pass interference) call on Lott (if I remember correctly), which
cost us a possible SB ring ?
