This offense will be fine. Once the 5 matador offensive linemen get replaced by competent NFL level linemen. Once we get a franchise quarterback that carry a team as opposed to one that has no business being in the league. Once we get true playmakers at WR. Once we get an innovative offensive coordinator as opposed to the bums who get fired by other teams. Once we have a front office that has the plan and vision to make those changes. I can't believe 2003 was the last time this offense was at "competent" level.

It's never a good sign when your quarterback has more rushing yards than your running back(s).
Hill ran for 53 yards.
Coffee ran for 45 yards.
I miss Frank Gore. Let's hope we fix our O-line problems during the bye week and hope Gore is back to 100% or close to it.

that is true but its not just coffees fault, when you lose by 35 points a lot of things went wrong. coffee got a TD atleast, where's hill's TD?

I'm not blaming Coffee. I'm not blaming Hill. The 49ers lost as a team. All I am saying is that I hope we get things together during the bye-week.
Frank Gore > Glen Coffee
When Gore is in, defenses will put 8 or 9 in the box, which in turn gives Hill somewhat of an advantage in the passing game.
Our O-line needs some work, possibly some changes. Chilo Rachal isn't living up to his 2nd round expectations. Maybe try Wragge?
I just hope we get things together. I still have faith that we will do well going forward.

some is the OL's fault some is Coffee's fault, some is the game plans fault (no a rookie RB shouldn't need a FB let's just put 2 TE's out there all game long) Gore's back vs. Houston and hopefully our OL will figure things out and Crabtree can get some work.

I was at the game today sitting almost directly behind the niners near the endzone in the upper deck as they were struggling to go back and fourth.
There were almost NO holes or lanes for Coffee to run. Very dissapointing.

I don't know if Raye doesn't want Hill running around or what. I feel like this was the first game he was stepping up and taking a chance on the run....
BTW, we are not a power-running team "when your QB has more rushing yards than your RB"

When your QB has more rushing yards than your RB, it means you need to draft Jahvid Best.

There were several plays where the commentators pointed out huge holes that Coffee missed.

Remember that report that came out this week that talked about how Jimmy Raye yelled at Glen Coffee for dancing around in training camp and trying to break everything to the outside. Ever since then, Glen Coffee just runs downhill INTO tacklers instead of even attempting to run away from them.
Running backs need to have improvisation. If the hole is stuffed, dammit FIND ANOTHER HOLE. Don't just give up and run into the damn tackles.

That's possible...its also possible that Coffee has poor vision.
