K everybody Kory Sheets is gonna get called up but its only so we have depth if another RB goes down, he will not get playing time, except for probably on special teams, if you think he is gonna get called up and leap frog people on the depth chart you are kidding yourselves

He may be used on a few plays that Raye could install to take advantage of his speed (screens, tosses and sweeps, in the taser on a fake HB dive RB sweep etc). But he is unlikely to get a bulk of carries. Coffee will assume that role with MRob likely spelling him and possibly even being the 3rd down back at times.

Don't know if this has been posted but
I predicted, in the Jason Hill thread, that Hill will be activated. Also, with Reggie Smith out, I think Hudson will get the call. Both of these will take over kickoff and punt coverage duties since Coffee will be starting.
Plus if Sheets were to get called up, IIRC, someone on the 53 man roster would have to be released or put on IR.

MattMaiocco (Twitter): 49ers not expected to make roster move in response to Frank Gore's expected 2-game absence. Kory Sheets likely remains on P-squad, for now.

They could have released Curtis Taylor and put him on the PS but with the injury to Smith that makes it tough.
IMO Spurlock will likely be the emergency/3rd string RB if no roster move gets made.

I would!!! Get rid of Marques Harris to make room or get rid of Rossum!!!! D love, Battle or JHill can return. Even Sheets down the road can do it!!!
Get these young guys acclimated to the speed and especially holding the ball!!!!
GET BETTER FRANKY!!!!! We're gonna need you down the road!!!!!

3-4 D's require 8 LB's. We would all too thin at OLB if we dump Harris for Sheets.

True, but I figure since Brooks is back that he could be expendable. He has value on Special teams for sure.
Rossum could be another guy. We can find someone to do his job AND more!!! Sheets is faster and capable of learning it down the road as well as Dlove, Battle and Hill!!!

Spurlock or Battle could take Rossum's duties as KR over however Jason Hill has no experience there (which means no trust from the coaches) and Walker is one of only 2 TE's on the roster and we can't afford an injury there right now.

Well there you go....no need for Rossum and a spot for Sheets.
I dunno, cuz they got Haralson on ST and he is by far our best pure Pass Rusher on our team, so if they can sacrifice like that, then Dlove would be fine returning kicks. Sh!t he might be a better contribution there now that VD is finally getting it!!!
Better be careful bc Dallas has another RB hurt and we all know Jerry was all over Felix's nuts bc of his speed, whicd Sheets has plenty of!!!
