Should the 49ers Call Up Kory Sheets ftrom the Practice Squad?

Hell F'N yeah.

This guy should have made the 53 man roster anyways.

My Thoughts Exactly!

Pretty much a required. Gore is obviously not going to play.

Yes, bring him up, because Robinson isn't worth a s**t.

Ditto
I'm tired of all these runs up the gut. It would be nice to have a different kind of runner on the squad, like Sheets, who runs off tackle and outside with speed. Mix it up. Most running teams spell their HB quite a bit with back-ups. Why do the Niners keep pounding the same back over and over again?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the extra DB's (likely Hudson or Taylor...Taylor could replace Sheets on the PS should Sheets get the call).

The only issue with Sheets coming up to the roster is that if he fares well it may be hard to get him back on to the PS should need be later on (like another injury and a need for a roster spot comes up). Also Sheets may have a hard time making the active roster once Gore comes back if we keep him on the 53.

Should we go the way of the vet FA Warrick Dunn may be a smart option. He proved last year that he had still had something in the gas tank.
I hope he doesnt get the call up, but if he does this is whats gonna happen he will manage to have 1 carry for 5 yards and get completely blown up by a linebacker trying to block. He will praised as the best running back on the team and he should have been starting from the beginning because its obvious Gore has lost a step

Running back Frank Gore's right ankle strain will be evaluated today. The club will seriously consider promoting rookie running back Kory Sheets from the practice squad, as Gore is likely to miss a couple games. Without the benefit of any medical information, the 49ers' wisest move might be to rest him Sunday against the Rams and again Oct. 11 against the Falcons. Then, the 49ers have a bye week, and return with an Oct. 25 game at Houston.

You are kidding right? Gore lost a step? The guy ran for over 200 yards last week. I wish I could lose a step.

Totally agree, Sheets has so much speed it can only help the 49ers. He could be a game changer with Gore dinged up.

I agree and I think he could be a game changer anyway. Imagine Gore pummeling them then Sheets coming in and running by them. I see a little Chris Johnson in him (obviously he's not THAT fast though.... right?)
Would love to see some pitch outs and sweeps to Sheets. Throw him some shorts passes in the flat and watch him run for it. He is too fast not to get positive yards and could have helped us in the game against Vikes.

He's not that fast. Johnson ran a 4.24 40. Sheets ran a 4.39 40 and his fastest 40 time was 4.32.
