Forbes should stick to analyzing financial markets and global economics. They clearly haven't been watching any games recently.
Vernon is worth every penny we are paying him.

Forbes probably equate QBs to executives, and doesn't have the heart to criticize them too much.

6 million for 2012

I wouldn't use that website as a good source. They have been known to take information from other sites, namely mine. Plus they don't have Patrick Willis contract correct.

They obviously didn't watch the playoffs.

NFL sources say Forbes is the most overrated and overpriced publication.
Also, how can peyton manning NOT be on this list???? I am sure they know what his contract is....then again, maybe not.

I disagree. Davis has underachieved as a sixth overall pick for the bulk of his six-year career. He has had his moments and he has been hot lately, as you note, but he has to sustain it awhile longer in my view.
What an idiot.

Underachieved? Career year in 09, put up decent numbers in 2010, then had a great 2011, led the team in post season with what 3 or 4 TDs, now 3 TDs through 2 games. What an idiot.

I have his numbers wrong then, but I would reference Rotoworld over Spotrac.com. All of there info on the 49ers is taken from my website(NinerCapHell.com).

Ok Tommy boy, let's pretend your contract and Vernon's contract is up. Let's see who is offered a higher increase percentage-wise, and the we will see who truly is overpaid.

wow, what an idiot.
Vernon Davis is such a crucial player, he does so much for our team. I noticed against the Vikings we used him to help out Staley several times in pass protection since Staley was getting burned. Huge run blocker, great helping out in pass protection, one of the best recieving TEs, he sets up so many of our plays....
