I still can't see why they did this. The Vikes have lots of banged up WR's. They needed to keep him. I would at least try him for more than 1 month. I know he only plays when he wants to play. But when he does he is sensational. There is some good and bad with Moss. But IMO there is more good to him stretching the defense and just being on the field opening things up.

I think Chilly was trying to make a power move after Moss' Pats/Belichik ass kissing presser in NE.

Adam_Schefter Almost every team will meet today to discuss whether it's worth it to place a waiver claim for WR Randy Moss. Some interesting decisions.

JasonLaCanfora I'm hearing SEA, STL, MIA, TEN among teams mulling a waiver claim on Randy Moss. Several teams doing due diligence on how he'd fit with them

even if Moss came to SF, he won't be utilized to his strengths.

EX: Westbrook and the entire offense.
I bet Troy Smith would be licking his chops for him. Would probably buy him a good job for next year

if we could get moss this season would be much more hopeful. crabtree and moss thats all i gotta say. moss can stretch the field and constantly gets doubled. our run game would benefit too.
Schefter just said on ESPN that Moss will be claimed off of waivers by one of many teams interested, and he won't make it to Free Agency.

someone posted it, but as soon as the Dolphins and Seahawks heard he was gonna be released they contacted his agent to let them know they would be interested

i'm surprised the Dolphins would be interested. The Seahawks makes sense though. Carroll is in love with turning that roster over.
Boorish behavior also contributed to Moss’ demise

As is the team’s custom on Fridays, a local food establishment was invited to the training facility to serve a catered, post-practice meal in the locker room. In this case, a St. Paul restaurant that is a favorite of former Vikings center Matt Birk(notes). As the proprietors helped serve chicken, ribs, pasta and other dishes to Vikings players, Moss paced up and down the serving line and loudly expressed his displeasure with the offerings.

According to one player who witnessed the scene, Moss yelled, “What the [expletive]? Who ordered this crap? I wouldn’t feed this to my dog!”

Said the witness: “It was brutal. The truth is, he deserved to be cut after that. It was such an uncomfortable moment. You know that feeling where you just can tell someone feels so small? That’s what it was like being there.

“This wasn’t a chain – it was a mom-and-pop restaurant, and you could tell it was their best stuff. They had a special carving station set up, and there were players and other support staff lining up to eat it. And [Moss] is at his locker saying, ‘You know, I used to have to eat that crap – but now I’ve got money.’ You just felt so sad for them. I had never seen anyone treated like that.

“And by the way, the food was actually really good.”

lol, wow, what a scumbag.
Although Moss would be under-used here, it would be foolish to let him slip into the hands of another NFC West team.

One more reason to claim WR Randy Moss: team that loses him this off-season in free agency could get back a compensatory draft pick.

Could he be worth a 3rd round compensation (seeing in all that's what Minn lost)?
