Makes me a little sad.

Reading between the lines, he seems kinda sad and disappointed. Seems like he had a brotherhood with the Niners and feels kinda out of place and uncomfortable in Cincinnati and that his hopes have been diminished.

I wish him the best.

Mays, Clements and Lawson..... hell be fine lol

Clements- overrated "shutdown" corner, who can't sutdown anyone if he's not a PS WR
Manny. overrated 3-4 OLB who can't passrush
Mays overrated S who can't cover

what if it was that we had coaches who couldn't get the best out of these players?

Zimmer is a good defensive coordinator.....so we'll see if he finds a way to use them to their best abilities. Right now the Bengals have some of the best athletes in the league with Lawson and Mays. Manny will be fine, I think he will breakout this year with a different coaching staff..and maybe a different defensive approach. Nate will also be fine, as long as they don't have him playing 10 yards off WRs constantly. I just don't know about Mays however. I still think we gave up on him too early...but hey it might be the best move for him. It also helps that Whitner and Goldson should do fine. But if Goldson leaves next year, I'm not comfortable with Reggie Smith.....so if it doesn't work out with Reggie, and Mays develops well in Cinnci..then damn...lol.

Also his USC buddies, Rey Maualuga and Kieth Rivers.
Been shuffling through the official Bengals forum, and everybody's saying we got a 4th rounder out of the deal. -If so, that's awesome; we're turning into the Eagles/Pats.

When was the last time the Eagles won a Superbowl again?

I agree here, Why would Manusky put Clements 10-15 yards off the ball, when he is a physical corner who accels in bump and run? Why not have Manny line up in different positions to take advantage of the best matchup possible for him? Most of the time when Clements got burned it was on quick hitches when he was playin 10-15 yards off the ball...you cant do that with a corner with his attributes.

Best of luck, Taylor, you are a classy dude!

No one could have asked you to be more professional, from day one of the draft on through this trade. It's nice to see that guys like this are still around!

He is a well spoken young man and I too wish him the best of luck. But when we play them I hope Frank runs his ass over time and time again.

AAAAAH, when are they gonna disclose what pick it is??? Is this driving anyone else nuts?

The longer they keep that info secret the lower it probably is.

I sure it has something to do with if he makes the team or not and if he does the amount of playing time he gets. We may not know what the pick is until after the season. My thought is it could be a 7th if he does not make the team and as high as a 4th or 5th if he gets a good amount of playing time.

I don't like the idea of giving up on the guy, but I am guessing it more to do with Harbaugh/Fangio than our FO. Coaches must not have seen enough from Taylor to think he will ever be successful. If he turns into a ST ace, then great! But you don't draft a guy in the second round to be a ST ace.

If we got a 4th, then I see that as a pretty good deal. So we swap a 2010 2nd for a 2012 4th. You can always say "players we could have gotten with that spot." Since they had him playing behind guys that are waiting for cut day, the coaching staff did not think very highly of his abilities to adapt to the pro game. I hope their assessment is correct, along with Clements and Lawson.

Last time i Checked nate himself said that he´s trying to compensate for the lost speed.

Clemets has been burned so many times in the past.

Owens over 200yards a couple of TD

Roddy White the long TD run.

Manny can not rush the passer period. hes a good guy but more of a 4-3 OLB.

Will he even be on the field much? if he is, I like our chances for 38 points in that game
