Try to look at it this way: it's Monday Night Football and all eyes are on Candlestick as the 49ers host Champion New Orleans. It's a loud, proud atmosphere and San Francisco is out to shock the world and give notice that they mean business in 2010. Under the Monday Night lights, who do you feel most comfortable with under center?
.) Alex Smith. A guy who has clawed his way back to the starting spot, but he comes with baggage. He's been in the pressure cooker and had some great games, but more often than not he has faltered. Still, I feel he's out best chance to win this game.
.) David Carr, holding down the fort until Ben Rothelisberger returns from suspension. I honestly feel that if Big Ben is brought aboard, we'll be unloading Alex sooner than later and just move on. Carr taking the snaps against the Saints? You be the judge.
.) Jimmy Clausen in the national spotlight two weeks into his rookie year. We're still not sure what we have in the kid, but hopefully he goes out there with a fearless approach since he really has nothing to reference for this kind of situation. I like his cool, and think he can keep up until late in the game when he tries to be a hero and blows it late.
.) Nate Davis.....
