Mel Kiper Jr. @MelKiperESPN
I'm projecting the San Francisco 49ers WR Stephen Hill (rd 1), Miami (Ohio) OG Brandon Brooks (rd 2), & Michigan DL Mike Martin (rd 3).

The first two would be great picks; not sure Martin is a true 3-4 prospect but I love his motor and hustle.

Kiper is a thief. He's stealing my picks. Although I don't have Martin slotted to the 49ers in round three.

I'm warming up to the Stephen Hill pick. I think we have all the WRs we need this year and have the luxury of grooming a very raw, but talented deep threat. The only thing that gives me pause on Hill is what someone said on NFL Networks, "Path to the draft." That is, because he came from a run heavy offense, he was often wide open when they did throw it to him so we really dont know if he can "fight for the ball."

Mel can say whatever he wants...I seriously doubt they spend their 1st rd pick on Randle...Fleener makes a lot more sense. Look at what NE has done with Gronk and Hernandez. Vernon and Fleener could be better, as a tandem. Nobody else in the NFC West would come close to our two TE's and the mismatches they'd create. If he's the guy Harbaugh wants, and there's no reason to think he's not, Baalke will trade up to get him, if he has to.

I hope he's wrong. Hill isn't a 1st rounder, IMO. I'd much rather take Quick in the 2nd; although I think Quick will go much earlier than people are projecting. I wouldn't be surprising to see a team snag him early in the 2nd.

I really dont see us drafting in the 1st round at all. I see us trading back in the 2nd round for a team wanting to jump back in and grab a player. We could possibly gain an extra 1st next draft or possibly the teams 2nd + 4th or something along those lines. That is what I think will happen but you never know we may be the team trading up for a player. I just dont think we will be picking at 30 this year for some reason.

Anyone know if this Randle guy has any experience in returns? Seems like he has great acceleration and excellent vision.
