This year, the Broncos permitted Te Kura to take a leave of absence to pursue a career in the NFL. The team later released him from his contract so he could focus on pursuing that goal.
The 49ers will face the Rams at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday night (Friday morning in Melbourne) in a Week 1 NFC West showdown.
