Some people believe everything they hear..

That's what scares me about him too. Since 2007 defensive ends have had a horrible bust ratio and I'd just like to see a larger body of work.

Prince is a pretty safe pick with more upside than people think. You have no use for a defensive end that can't get to the QB. If a corner doesn't pan out the way you like he still has value to the team. Whether it's a safety, opposite corner, or nickel corner it's still alot more valueable than a Gholdston or Robert Ayers or Aaron Maybin. Don't get me wrong you can completely bust on a corner (see Mike Rumph) but the odds of it happening are alot slimmer.

I agree with Prince having more upside then people think. Alot of people don't know he went to Nebraska thinking he would play RB and then Bo Pelini became HC and told him he would make alot of money in the NFL with his size and speed as a CB. Plus he grew up a Jerry Rice fan, so I'd assume he was a 49er fan too.

Prince is about as high a character kid as you could ask for, he loves the game of football, and on top of all that we would get the added plus that he's a 49ers fan. I honestly hope we land him.

My top 3 choices at #7 for the 49ers are: 1. CB Patrick Peterson, 2. DE/OLB Robert Quinn, and 3. CB Prince Amukamara.

I'm 100% with you. If we picked him, I don't see how we could go wrong.

Amukamara, Clements (if restructures), and Spencer. Wow. What a secondary that'd be. Think if we could just get a great safety in there.

I was a pretty big critic of Amukamara in the beginning (end of college football season), but hes quickly growing on me. If Peterson and Miller are gone then Amukamara has to be the pick. His play kinda reminds me of a mix between Asomougha and Champ Bailey. Aggressiveness like Asomugha and fluid like Bailey.

Some people believe everything they hear..

Some people use quotes from a guy denying guilt as proof of his guilt.

It's all perspective. I was much more concerned about Quinn until I read some articles about his relationship with his teammates and family, who consider him to be a very stable influence and a strait laced momma's boy--off the field. Of course, we are talking about NC. As far as his tumor, that worries me, but if the doctors OK him who are we to quibble?

All these guys are crap shoots but his upside as a pass rusher only comes around once in a while and I consider the risk worth taking. Either of the two CBs would be a delightful fall back plan.

Nothing like someone trying to knock the intelligence of someone else while making childish grammatical errors.

I also really enjoy how you threw out one little quip from a fan site about how some teams are concerned about his tumor. There is very little truth being thrown around players right now.

And since when is a beat writer from Houston a pro at anything? Houston Texans would be all over Quinn if he fell to them. Certainly someone who is a fan of said team wouldn't want to spread misinformation to scare teams away from a certain player would he ?

If the 49ers draft him their doctors obviously feel he's healthy enough and is a risk worth taking.
Lol coming from a guy that can't remember the 49ers 1st round draft pick three short years ago, I wouldn't expect you to see the Texans are hurting a lot more in the secondary then they are in their front seven.. They obviously would take Prince.

Im not referring to any misinformation, everything I have stated is fact.

Check out that video, if he does have any conditions he's not going to tell anyone he needs the $$$ to badly. He has a history of avoiding medical help, his judgement & awareness are much to poor for my liking.

To everyone argueing with me about his intelligence listen to the people that created him & ask yourself how far did the apple really fall from the tree??

Not far in my eyes.

Listen to the man speak & access his intelligence for yourself. I did & that's my first impression.

So while I try to find the humor in all of that you go change your user name to something more appropriate

Why don't you try getting real information. He didn't run a 4.7 and ran a faster time than Clay Matthews. He ran a 4.57 at his pro day and 4.62 at the combine. At 265 lbs that's pretty damn fast. What exactly are you looking for a guy his size? 4.3?

What's wrong with how he speaks? And how exactly is that an indication of intelligence?

Here's the quote from the guy about the incident with the agent
"The tumor really made me appreciate just the little things in life," Quinn said. "Don't take anything for granted. Live life to the fullest. And the suspension really made me mature and watch the people who come around me. If they're really in the best interest for me or what I can do for them or what they want from me. So really just watch my surroundings or people I bring around me."

I guess he didn't speak well enough for you? If he said the same thing while sipping tea with his pinkie up would that make him intelligent enough for you?

Was Lawrence Taylor a rocket scientist?

And keep showing how "smart" you are by mentioning my name as if it has anything to do with genius. Take some biology and you may figure out wtf a genus is.

So don't throw stones if you live in a glass house.

You said something and got called for it by several people here. At some point you should just admit you're judging him from clips and what you've read as opposed to actully watching the kid and learning more about him.

Everyone agrees he's got great talent and just needs playing time and coaching to turn into a terrific player but you want to hold a one time mistake over his head and act like his medical condition is huge.

If the 49er doctors and other NFL doctors give him the OK I think they know what they're doing.

Obviously the poster doesn't know what he's talking about, and much to his sake, it is his opinion. He doesn't like Quinn, and despite countless endorsements from people like Mike Mayock, Butch Davis, his own teammates and parents, the poster still thinks he's a bad apple
Him over Prince is cool with me.

History of avoiding medical help? He missed the appointment and that was during a string of incidents where Quinn was forgetting things, having blackouts, and passing out. All of that was caused by the tumor.

And are you seriously judging his intelligence by how his parents speak? Congratulations on being one of the most ignorant posters we have seen in awhile. It's so ironic that you knock on their intelligence through how they sound when they speak, yet you continue to post with grammatical errors.

Thanks again for proving my point. You judge a person by her looks and how she sounds and immediately think that person is unintelligent. Let me ask, is that what you think about everyone from the south?

And thanks for the personal attack. Just pointing out the irony. Arguing with you is like arguing with a child.

Wow...

I'm done having this conversation with you. You're obviously a very ignorant person who loves to judge people.

I'd love to know your level of education that you're able to judge others so freely.

As for me forgetting Balmer that's due to selective memory and other people acting like Lawson and Quinn went to the same college.

I'll be very happy if Quinn is our pick and we'd be lucky to have a player of his talent on our roster.
