The Niners would be retarded not to bring him in for a look. You have to do your homework on the guy. I doubt we take him, but the QB position is way too important just to blow off potential prospects.
BTW I think it's pretty likely that he will be on the board when we pick. Buffalo is the only team that will consider him now, and don't be surprised if they pass on him thinking they can Tebow in the 2nd.
This.

can you guys tell me who Clausens comeback wins were against this year?
Washington, Boston College and versus Notre Dame rivals Purdue and Michigan State. Against Purdue he was pulled for part of the game due to his toe injury but came back to lead the Irish to victory.

the guy couldnt win in college no way he can in nfl
Saying he couldn't win is simply untrue and an ignorant statement. His defense was 86th in the nation yet he still managed to lead them to 4 come from behind wins while playing with torn ligaments in his toe. Clausen did everything he could to help his team win but you can't blame a teams lack of wins on a QB whose defense is and was as porous as ND's was and who did their QB and offense no favors.
He made strides in each of his 3 years as he grew in Weis' pro style system but took a hell of a beating (over 100 sacks in 3 years). His junior year stats are as good if not better than some great NFL QB's (Peyton & Eli Manning, Phillip Rivers, Big Ben, Matt Ryan, Matt Stafford) did as juniors.
I can understand not wanting to take a QB in the 1st round however what he did last year at ND speaks volumes about the player he is, and the leader he is (he was voted a team captain by every one of his teammates).
