It sucks because he was turning into a damn good WR and his time to shine (be the man) was suppose to be now. This fan base is passionate as s**t and that can either make you untouchable or hated forever.

Great opportunity and he turned into a flaming pile of 💩 all but ruined his career. He can go to DC have a solid career, but he's never gonna turn into that dude who will have lasting endorsements and be looked at as a franchise ring of honor type. Hope losing $30M & looking like a spoiled brat dumbass is worth playing football with your buddy.

After a torn achilles that's easier said than done. I love Kittle though he's such a tough competitor

I mean they gave up top market value for CMC and we were linked to him before it happened. Like AB said we offered more than the Bears for Mack.

I don't even know what his value is at this point. He's not worth 2 1sts after Baltimore backed out imo….if anyone was offering that he would have been moved by now.

I don't think we were linked to CMC because of a FO leak though, it was just the best and most obvious landing spot. Kyle (or his family) used to babysit CMC and it was weird that Kyle didn't pick him instead of Solomon Thomas that in 2017.

Is it "49ers trades don't leak" or "49ers front office doesn't leak"? You said the former and the 49ers interest in trading for CMC after Rhule was fired by Carolina was definitely leaked and reported. Also, some of the Aiyuk trade offers during the negotiation were leaked to push teams into caving to Lynch's compensation demand. The 49ers accepting the Steelers trade for Aiyuk also got leaked. Pretty Rickey doesn't miss (except that one time, and that other time).

I'd also argue we know about a lot of the trades before they are "done". Often times they are leaked, reported, and/or announced before the player completes the physical.

No leaks, but I'm on record on trading for CMC way before any traction/trade happened.
