They can only elevate two for first game, and Im pretty sure the long snapper will be one of them.
The second guy whos elevated I thought would be Okoronkwo. As much as they need a punt returner, I trust Watkins to just fair catch punts. The edge situation is VERY murky with both Bosa and Height not practicing.

Niner Talk » Jacob Cowing-WR-Arizona, 135th Pick, 2024 Draft

It's pretty wild after the last 2 drafts the dline is still a huge question mark

You'd think Shanahan would learn. His Oline philosophy works where he can scheme it up vs weak teams but when things get tight like in the playoffs (or Vs Seattle) that scheme goes out the window because the top DLines bully us.

It's happened since he got here and he refuses to change or adapt.

Why didnt Philly d line bully us?

In both 19 and 23 the O lines were definitely above average. At least top 12 if not top 10.

if you wanna say if they had elite o lines like Philly or Detroit they would've won I'd agree there.

Seattle doesn't have an elite OL and just won a SB. How elite is the Rams OL?

SF should be investing in the OL every year with meaningful picks and capital…they don't have to burn top 50 picks on the OL every yr for them to be successful.

Drafted Willis and Cruz, and traded for Patterson. Does that count for something?

How did this guy go from someone they loved last season to someone they don't?

Rated 8th in 25' based on the numbers. I wouldn't say they're elite though. Right guard is still an issue in pass pro but their o line has a lot of continuity which is what you want in a unit as a whole

You a new niner fan?

It's not like the Rams are at 100% either. Myles has practiced twice since he got there. His knee keeps sweeping up, AD just show up a couple days ago. DA is in and out of practices. Puka is banged up and some more stuff came out about his off field stuff.

damn are you on the rams forum too?

Niners picked up a returner today and added him to the ps. I wonder if that's incase Cowing can't go week 1.

That's exactly what that is for. he will be elevated for multiple weeks imo then take over for Cowing if he is called up more than what......3 or 4 times during the season??? So annoying but this could be a net gain bc the PS wr/returner is a top 5-10 return man and Cowing is not even close to that

I wonder if Nick tried to return too soon. He looked incredible doing drills. I was shocked at how much velocity he was carrying through his lean on bend drills. Then the whole tendinitis thing happens.

He may have pushed himself too much. Either way, this is going to be an ongoing issue all year. That s**t doesn't just go away.

I think there might be some soreness, but I also think with those high end elite guys (that are dealing with a little something) they don't have to practice much to play.

Or any other contending team in need of a QB and not in the NFC West? That's a possibility. Watch the first four games of the season closely. As I'm sure all fans will. If any QB suffers a long-term injury, then I think Mac's services come into play.

I think QBs would rather be a starter on a bad team over being a backup on a good team. Kind of like how coaches would rather be a headcoach for a bad team over being a coordinator for a good team.

seems like you didn't listen to Mac Jones when asked why he signed for two years as a back up with SF.
