One podcaster suggested we make a play for Chimere Dike-Titans. Decent returner in his 2nd year who caught 48 passes in '25. He's not doing that well now and I do remember him making a mistake or two against us either last year or this preseason. It seems that with Jordan Elliott gone Robert Saleh could use one of the 2 DT's he drafted just a year ago. They're both injured and not much is expected of them next year if the new guys improve. I'd give them both up for this guy and a lower pick but then Saleh probably's seen enough of them. I'm sure he was the one who was most enamored with Nick Martin our #75 pick. Quantity for potential?

Tendonitis is not going to heal in a week with how bad he was limping. It starts as just an ignorable niggle and that might heal in a week to week and a half.

The way he was limping for it to go away it's going to be a minimum of 3 weeks.

He will probably feel okayish and think he can play. 3 long routes and it will feel like his bones grinding through his ligament again.

He needs rest. This part of the season doesn't matter much. If we can't beat the crappy falcons without him we have more problems.

1. This part of the season does matter. You don't erase the lead you built and give other teams hope. The more the 49ers win, the closer we get to it becoming impossible for anyone to catch up.

2. Mike Evans absolutely needs to rest. He's not here for us to win a random game against Atlanta. We all know what the Missing Piece is here for.

3. If we don't beat Atlanta, it means we have injury problems. What team would you expect to beat another team without 5 or 6 of the top receivers they planned to have?

4. Jordan Watkins wanted opportunities- well here it is. Just go out and be a professional. A ball control game that runs through Black and CMC (I mentioned Black first on purpose), passes to Kittle, Juice, Watkins, Kirk (?), Cooks, etc and we should be able to stay ahead of the Falcons. Not expecting 30 unless the defense gets turnovers. I can see 21 - 27 points. Hoping we hold them to 17.

My feeling is even worse than yours.

My feeling is he's going to pull an Andrew Luck this offseason and say "I can't keep rehabbing 80% of the time and playing only 20% of the time. I'm done. Peace out!"

I have no idea of what he'll do but we can't expect a lot from him in the future. The injuries and rehabs take a toll on the body and the fact is he wasn't playing the level he did when he won DPOY. With the amount of money he's scheduled to make next season their could be an issue if the Niners want to rework that contract. He's missed 18 games in the last 2 seasons. Prior to that he had a 9 and a 10 sack year. Good but not great. If he expects the Niners to pay him like the 18 sack player he was in 2022 then he's in for a surprise.

You simply don't get players with Bosa's talent profile unless you are picking in the Top 5 of a draft. If you take away his 2 torn ACL's, which unfortunately happened at the beginning of his respective seasons, he has been pretty damn durable, and he has proven to come back just as good or better after recovering each time. He is only 28 years old and still a monster when he plays.

Does he deserve a max contract like Garrett or Will Anderson Jr got? No, but I'm not sure anybody is gonna give him a max deal after his injury history, either.

The 49ers best chance of "replacing" Bosa is with Bosa.

He's affective but yeah Dugger has incredible range as a tackler you watch him at LBer

When they did their firesale last season and traded Quinnen Williams and Sauce, they made a point that they are not trading Wilson. They already have three 2027 1sts after those trades, and they clearly want him for whoever their next QB is going to be. He's more valuable to them than however much a fourth 2027 1st rounder would be.

We can dream about Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Carnell Tate, Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase… but the other team has to actually be willing to trade the player.

Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase aren't going anywhere. Both are probably 1st ballof HOF WR's and Chase has a HOF QB in his prime with him. Teams don't trade that caliber of player unless they are past their prime or they become extremely unhappy in their situation.

We will end up with one of them. Just not this year. Past Prime is our specialty.
