They are allowed to choose not to. They arent allowed to write messages on their hats.

I guess I misunderstood the controversy and the backlash then. I know nothing about the Bible either. So what's so bad about the messages they wrote on their hats?

Nothing about what they wrote. But writing on their hats is against league rules, and Christians are laughably claiming discrimination.

How come it was okay for players to write on their hats until now? This isn't the first time players wrote on their hats. This is the first time the league is making a big deal about it though.

It tells you he didn't want to remain a 49er through 2026. That's the end result of a successful grievance, unless you think the 49ers would pay him 26m cash for the year and then release him.

That said, I'm sure he did something that allowed them to void those guarantees. Maybe he did because he wanted off the team. We don't know details there, and of course the 49ers won't leak that part of it (for obvious reasons). Keep in mind, unless there was something egregious, they could have chose not to take that action. But they clearly wanted out of this contract.

I think everyone agrees what happened up front: 49ers didn't pay Aiyuk early in 2024 and were shopping him. He felt disrespected by this, perhaps as anyone would. Everyone can get in line with that.

What happened after that is where I think there is a disagreement on what is a reasonable reaction and what isn't. It's a matter of perspective.

Some folks will think Aiyuk acting out during contract negotiations, making negotiations more difficult than they had to be (his words), having guarantees voided due to not showing up (speculation on potential technicalities) are all fair game/justified due to 49ers not paying him early in 2024/leaking/etc.

Other folks will say players/negotiations since the beginning of time (including productive members currently on our team) went through similar situations and didn't do the things Aiyuk has so they don't see aiyuks response as reasonable.

They are both just matters of opinion and honestly doesn't matter much what us fans think either way.

Technically, Horry did not hit that 3 pointer. Well, he did. But after the shot clock had expired. As for 01-02, the fix was in. The league wasn't going to allow Sacramento to win and did not. My days as an NBA fan ended during those years. I just didn't know it yet.

Correct—which is why they have one less 2027 3rd than we do but the 2028 1st probably makes up for that.

I wonder if the Eagles have players to offer? Feels like we only really have Mykel now that Cohn of all people is throwing his name around.

With the way some here feel and on the outside that were just gonna fall off from being a contender.. our 27 first rounder would be more valuable than a low Philly pick in 28
