What's your OL score with Trent out?
I understand every position on every team drops if you play that game, but I'm trying to get a feel for how much is Trent carrying that entire position group. Puni is capable of being a 4 when healthy, etc.
I feel like interior OL and DE may be our weakest spots outside of S.
We need to see how Patterson does at LG, assuming he starts.
Trent is a 5, Puni 4, Brendel 2, Mckivitz 3 or 3.5. Anyone we put at LG is likely not gonna be better than 2 or 3.
Average that out and you get 3.2–3.5, barely above avg.
But without Trent.. If it's Lowe/Pleasants that's also 2 or 3. If it's Enrique.. 1. Makes it between around 2.6/5 if we're being generous for the group.

Last year the 49ers had a 33.6% quarterback pressure rate in the games Bosa played, that would've ranked 4th overall in the NFL for a full season. That was also without an Interior pass rush during those games. With Osa I expect it to be better, I really think hes going to have a Justin Smith like resurgence to his career. Smith was never a Pro Bowler on the Bengals and once he got to the Niners his game took off to another level. I really like the two rookies (Height, Halton) and i really just hope West & Collins were just rusty in the preseason with their injuries. Right now the Pass Rush lies on the health of Bosa, he supposedly was saying he feels much better now than he has in prior years because he had a procedure to clear up some debris in his knee. If he can stay relatively healthy then i really love this D-Line. I still believe we 100% make a trade during the season for an Edge rusher from a team that is out of contention.

There was multiple in place he kept turning them down, we finally had enough and was going to ship him off. We didn't need Aiyuks blessing he can only refuse to sign an extension with his new team but they could still make the trade and hold his rights. This happened with Hassan Reddick

Well, it is 9/1/26. It was said we were delusional to think that BA would still be on the reserve/left squad list. Some here even said that the 49ers were the bad guys here and that they were to be blamed. Now that this time has arrived, I think it is time for some of us to give the team a bit of grace and allow for the chance that BA may have been to blame for a big part of what has transpired between him and the team. BA will continue to remain on the reserve/left squad list as some here have said where we can enjoy the accordion math baked into his signing bonus and it will not change until he gets reinstated and forces our hand by having the guts to show up at 49er HQ.
We could have used a healthy BA last year and this year and the deal we made with him has really screwed us along with Pearsall always being hurt and yet here we are having to do without both 1st rd picks at WR. For a position that takes fewer hits than a RB or a TE we sure seem to be injury riddled at WR. Sheesh!
Now that the season is beginning I am hoping Stribling helps us to forget about the huge loss that is Aiyuk and Pearsall
I blame the front office for signing him to a new contract. After that, who in their right mind blames the 49ers management.
100% correct. Low character head cases should not be rewarded. They should have let him go.
Should have traded Aiyuk to the Steelers for their offer of second- and third-round draft picks
As much as we as fans feel betrayed by AB, I guarantee Kyle feels 100x worse about being betrayed by AB. Kyle stuck his neck out for him and got essentially decapitated for his efforts. It's an experience that could change a guy, making him less willing to help other players down the road, no matter how much more worthy of his support they would be compared to AB.
most likely he just said, Bro you're about to get traded and BA said I don't want to leave
rest is history
We couldn't trade Aiyuk if he wasn't willing to be traded. No team was going to trade for him unless Aiyuk made it clear he'd agree to a contract extension with the new team.
So you think the Steelers or whoever would have happily given up draft picks for a player who might not be willing to sign an extension with them? A team isn't going to trade significant draft capital for a player that doesn't want to play for them. It'd be no different than when AB was traded to the Bills.
There was no trade in place, and if there was, it could only go through if Aiyuk was willing to sign a contract extension with the new team.
There literally was a trade in place.
Again, no, there wasn't, and if there was, it could only go through with Aiyuk's blessing.
