Trent is a 5, Puni 4, Brendel 2, Mckivitz 3 or 3.5. Anyone we put at LG is likely not gonna be better than 2 or 3.

Average that out and you get 3.2–3.5, barely above avg.

But without Trent.. If it's Lowe/Pleasants that's also 2 or 3. If it's Enrique.. 1. Makes it between around 2.6/5 if we're being generous for the group.

I hated Cruz for the first two preseason games, but he seemed a changed man in the third one. I have hopes that he may be coming into his own.

AC held out pretty late last season (rookie year) and actually played decently. He is a huge guy and really needs to work that baby fat off of himself and get some man strength. Having the shoulder surgery is putting him into Shaq Mode (trying to play himself into shape during the season). This pushes his time to show that potential back and he may need another year. If he does gain that strength, he's going to be a monster

Really not a great example given the circumstances. I don't think the 49ers would have been willing to trade Aiyuk for a conditional 3rd round pick.

It's correct they could have traded him without him signing off on a new deal with the trading team, but they would have had to give him away. That might seem appealing in hindsight, but it wasn't appealing at the time.

As much as we as fans feel betrayed by AB, I guarantee Kyle feels 100x worse about being betrayed by AB. Kyle stuck his neck out for him and got essentially decapitated for his efforts. It's an experience that could change a guy, making him less willing to help other players down the road, no matter how much more worthy of his support they would be compared to AB.

I don't see Kyle sticking anything out.. he's not that type of guy.

So you think the Steelers or whoever would have happily given up draft picks for a player who might not be willing to sign an extension with them? A team isn't going to trade significant draft capital for a player that doesn't want to play for them. It'd be no different than when AB was traded to the Bills.

Myles Garrett didn't even practice because of a knee and Donald didn't even make the trip. If Myles needs some time off that would be fine with me, but he doesn't seem to miss games.
