Is it consensus that the 2027 draft is a good draft? Good where, like top heavy, deep into day2? Middle rounds (4th/5th) deep?

I hope he can return and play the rest odf the year and stay healthy next season. Unforunately he's more likely to get hurt again . He's had injuries that caused him to miss multiple games 3 straight years and he's no getting younger or healthier.

"We can't mortgage the future"

Ok, let's see what the future holds:
1. Current HOF players get even older
2. Key players continue to get injured (potentially)
3. Player A likely returns after the bye, player B likely returns in December, player C likely returns for the playoffs (same old story)

This is not sustainable. I think the 2nd, 3rd and 5th picks are up for sale. If you can get a multiple pro-bowl WR <28 yrs old, even a 1st round pick or get two avg WRs. Get something, pay more, leap of faith, anything.

A bunch of people in the front office, this coaching staff, players all deserve a SB ring, yesterday.

If a few teams made a trade that would win them the SB, some teams are going to be disappointed (only 1 SB winner). I don't think CHI getting Mack assures them a SB win. I don't think Mack assures any team of a SB win. I don't think any trade assures a team of a SB win.

I would be less hesitant to make a block buster trade if we won at least 1 Superbowl in the last 10 years. But since we haven't won one since the 90s, its time to go all in and give something the fans have been wanting for a long time.

I don't know how they measure these stats, but I'd gladly keep my 1st round picks for that difference.

Nobody knows how PFF measures their stats. I'm not sure the people that work there even know. I don't care what their rankings are. All I know is Buckner can still play and gives the Niners a much needed upgrade in the interior. No question Simmons is the best right now but the Niners gave up a late 4th that is practically a 5th round pick compared to the Bears giving up 2 first rounders and a 4th. Plus they now inherit a very large contract.

his arm talent is special. I still want to see how he does against better teams, specifically the seahawks this weekend.
He's tore up Carolina, busted ass eagles, busted Jets, busted packers, Falcons, and the phony patriots. lol Credit to them for winning but lets see how he does against seattles defense in seattle. outside of maybe 2-3 more games, their schedule is pretty damn easy.

Lets see how they do against Seattle, Jags, bills, @ Lambo and against the Vikings when a massive storm isn't happening.

Huh? They still have the Jags, Bills, Packers and Lions X2.

49ers will tell him: take a major discount or look elsewhere for employment.

ShanaLynch are probably upset with him missing time again. They just won't come out and say it.

You can argue why he is injured; is it his fault or is it not. But the bottom line is that he does miss time and is being paid big money for not so big results.

Mack and Simmons play different positions, have completely different types of contracts and have completely different costs.

Right. lol that's like saying we are out of Mack because we got Defo. lol it'll be interesting if chargers play Mack this weekend.

i think they're just making teams bid against each other as long as they can. They might play him in hopes they don't continue winless. lol but typically teams don't play guys they know they're going to trade, so they don't get hurt.

I was thinking that perhaps CHI had exhausted too many assets in acquiring Simmons. Would they mortgage more of the future for immediate help? I guess they could.

I would bet Crosby would cost about as much as Wilson, but I'd rather Wilson because of his age. Pairing him with Purdy and Kyle would make this offense nearly unstoppable for the foreseeable future.

IF we are spending that kind of draft currency, and that's a big if IMO, it'd make way more sense to do it with Wilson and not Crosby.

Wilson is younger and locked up, he would have his prime with us. Crosby would most likely be a short term thing and who knows how many more seasons he'll play at a high level - i'm a big Crosby fan. but yeah, you trade that for a true difference maker that can be with the teams for years, IMO.

Wilson and Evans on the field at the same time would be incredible, having brock and kyle paired with that - that could be special.

I'd love Wilson but i dont see it happening, i'd really like for us to trade for another TE that can ball out with Kittle for the next couple years. that would add an incredible dynamic to our offense too.
