First I'll get my admitted homerism out of the way and say that I love it because he's born and raised in Hawaii. Love the player. My nephew played for the same Highschool and helped a little with coaching when Stribling was there.

Nephew had nothing but great things to say about him leading up to this draft. Amazing character; strong family, and he's a lunch pail to work blue collar work ethic. I went to only two of his games (because of my nephew coaching) but this kid is a freaking dawg man. Stood out in both. I can't see this kid busting; I don't think his work ethic and character will allow it.

All that said; I hate the value and where we picked him. I highly highly doubt anyone takes him before pick 58; but I guess there's stuff out there that McVay and the Rams may have taken him before then, who knows. Hopefully this next pick is someone most of us wanted at 33 so we can pretend that was the pick and D-Strib was the 58th. That would make me feel a lot better lol

Come on mang.....

You can't see the guy busting with his work ethic and character, then you add in legit NFL strength, Legit NFL speed and acceleration, then add in his hands, and his highlight reel at 6-2 210 and you dont think the dude is worth second rounder?
Very disappointed . . . not the elite they needed. Disappointed.

No projected elite players after the Top 15 this draft.

Sanu ran like a 4.7 or something. He's not Sanu lol.

The biggest block that will prevent Stripling having any impact on year one is Kyle Shanahan. Let's pray Kyle doesn't dog house Stripling for not bringing donuts to a team meeting or something else dumb.

He better f**king play this year and not be another player they stash for next year

The only WRs I can think that remotely made an impact year one out of the plethora is Deebo and Aiyuk. I guess he's already a blocker which is Kyle's biggest gripe if you want to see the field

Dante Pettis actually made some impact year 1 lol. Many of us had expectations in year 2. I think the okay rookie year is what led to the disappointment in year 2 and the creation of Kyle's doghouse.

look at the stuff he did against Gregoria, Clemson or Miami. He was doing his stuff against legit teams.

He did something like 10 catches for 200+ yards against Georgia this year....

At least he is not some small dude who beat up on weak teams....he is a big dude, with big performances, in big games...
this is why we have the worst top rounds picks

fire lynch
I wanted Chase but I'll root hard for this guy. WR is such a luxury pick right now.

I was talking vibes, but if you are concerned only by measurables, then Chris Godwin.

Nah
Can we nuke this thread and create a new one that spells his name correctly?
