The position fit is perfect for what our WR group is lacking

He can learn from and replace Mike Evans

Having a true X lets Pearsall play his true position and not get bodied off his route.

Not all WR positions are the same. Stribling is one of the few true X prospects in this draft.

He is not a bust type player

He can also play Z and Y if needed. In other words he can get on the field his rookie year.

I hope he works out but based on history, he'll be WR4 at best entering camp IMO. That's assuming that Watkins hasn't improved (which would be another wasted pick).

we will see. I don't love it but I hope he proves to be a great pick.

This guy moves like a faster version of jennings. I also see some Mohammed Sanu with this guy.

No doubt. They seem to be mostly allergic to serious investment there.

It's baffling to have a HOF db and he's never used a pick higher than 64 on a db in a decade. I don't expect it to change at 58.

What DB did you want?

I wanted Stukes who I think could have been a very versatile weapon for the secondary. I'll live though.
George Kittle will like this guy already.

Huge Overreach. I hope he balls, but he would have been available in round 3

Bust potential elevating, lol…
I like Stribling—but not at the top of the second round, and I certainly don't like him more than Bernard or TJ Parker at that spot. This regime is doing what it always does…
They probably anticipated a run on WR, 2nd round has been a defense draft. He would of been available at 58.

For the talk of him being there in round 3

Yeah, he has excellent hands and not only top end speed, but initial burst. I'm reading and watching stuff on him. He also run blocks, which Kyle loves.

could help us with our YAC problem we've had for a few years and he can take the top off a defense.

lol yup

Nope. I'm numb to these types of picks.
Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Ricky Pearsall (former 1st round pick). With huge holes at edger rusher, OT, OG, C, S and CB depth. Yeah WR is sure what we needed. We are just 1 more WR away. As always.

Nothing really against the player himself and I hope he succeeds. Just the position and the reach and stupid front office is more the complaint.

If insiders are confirming then ya this helps take the sting away

Value was my only complaint

Addressing need at X and skills of player selected are both good decisions

We did not need another small slot type WR
